Mine says insufficient! Its been like that 7 days after I applied! Haha.

August 2014 applicants:

The Admissions department notified us that you recently applied to the BCIT BSN program.

Your application was assessed and is insufficient in one or more of the program requirements. You have been notified in writing by the Admission department outlining the details of these insufficiencies.

If you are currently in the process of completing these missing requirements please respond to this email by April 15th. Include in your response details of what is missing and the expected completion dates.

A selection committee member will contact you via email or phone to discuss your application.

Has anyone been offered admission yet? I'm getting quite anxious!

Also, any idea if shortlisted applicants are guaranteed a spot??

xmichelle, I think that last year they sent out offers mid-May, so only a few more weeks to go :) Being shortlisted doesn't guarantee a spot, I believe they shortlist many more applicants than there are seats available...

They emailed me back last week saying to send my final marks as soon as I get them and they will make a decision about my application at that time. My final exam is Thursday, then it'll take about a week to get my marks, then I have to order a transcript... I feel like I'm cutting it close, hopefully the seats won't all be taken by then!

I heard from other applicants that they get to do their questionnaire around the beginning of may. I'm not sure when we would get a reply since people who did the questionnaire earlier they said they would give a response before the end of April.

I got an email last april 10th saying that I should get a notification to do the online questionnaire in the next 3 weeks. I still haven't received any, but it works out because I'm too busy with finals! They also wanted me to email them my final marks once I get it, and then request for my official transcript! I guess we'll have to do more waiting!

I don't know how they can meet the deadline on the 30th of April if all the questionnaires won't be in until May. It's not like they can divide the candidates into two pools since in the end I would think they need to consider all of them at once. I haven't gotten an e-mail telling me the decision will be delayed though so more waiting I guess!

I Heard that the next questionnaire is open from May 2-8. My friend asked her prof to give her a final mark which she submitted to Bcit so she wouldn't have to wait for the transcript

Inguyen, do you know how your friend sent the grade in without the transcript? Did she just email BCIT her grade? That would be great because I'm sure it'll be a couple more weeks before I get the transcript!

Liquoricetea, I believe you can email them your final marks. I just have one more final this Friday, and I'll have my final marks by april 30th! Lets all hope for the best!
