Seeing as it's almost time for the start of the August 2014 intake applications, I figured it apt to start this thread now.
This will be my second time applying (applied previously for august 2013).
Currently working on finish my second A&P course and will be finishing my undergraduate degree next semester!
Let the waiting begin~ :)
Hey @LiquoriceTea, I'm taking LIBS 7001 online too! I'm scared about how much work it will be for an online course. Usually they make you do more work than the in-class one. I wanted to take LIBS 7002 online too but I was wanting to take the health ethics (LIBS 7021) equivalent instead because it seems like it would be more relateable for nursing.
xmichelle, honestly it probably would have been way more interesting to take this class in person. The book is pretty boring and I tend to understand things better when they're explained to me rather than just reading it! Yeah I'm taking 7001 online too. I'm finishing up my degree at UVic so I have to stay here this summer :-P
Cesh, I bought the book from someone on Craigslist for $60, I would recommend doing that because the bookstore charges about $120!! I haven't gotten the writing book yet though cause I'm stuck on the island lol
diandroid, I was scared about the workload for 7002 too but it's not bad. Hopefully 7001 will be similar! Yes the health ethics class would probably be way more relevant. I didn't know we could take that class, I thought it was only for current nursing students.
Looks like there's a lot of us taking the LIBS courses this summer, that'll be nice if we need any help! :-)
Yeah, LIBS 7021 is only for nursing students so I was planning to take it in the summer when I'm done my first year of nursing :)
I didn't want to take both LIBS 7001 and 7002 just yet because it's a huge investment since the courses are so expensive and I don't know if I will officially be accepted or not!
I also just submitted my online questionnaire and it wasn't too bad. I know you had to make each question under 250 words so that was the part that I wasted the most time trying to narrow it down...
tyoon, no they aren't requirements to enter the program but they need to be completed before you graduate. You'd either need to take them during your first summer or schedule them on top of an already full course load. I figured I'd just go ahead and take the classes right now because I'm sure that I'll have enough on my plate if I am accepted into the program! Plus the advisor told me that it's a good bonus on your application if you have already taken those courses :-)

I can't decide if I should take them online or on campus! Are you planning to take 7001 online as well?
