At what point did your knowledge ruin suspenseful, cops and bad guys, westerns, etc. movies for you? This came up in a conversation with a friend of mine yesterday.

Went to see a movie a while back, but really this has been so for a long time now. Anytime someone gets shot, stabbed or otherwise in a movie or on TV, I'm all "Come on, you are so not dead, get up!" :D -- unless there's brain matter. This totally ruins old westerns etc. for me too. "Really? that arrow did not just kill you instantly" Sure, yeah, you're gonna die eventually, because you probably perfed, BUT, you could have got another shot off or saved your girlfriend... (wimp) :lol2: I am totally not fun to go to movies with!

Long before nursing school.... sort of like knowing the bad guys are going to have really, really bad aim, even if they are a few feet away with a machine gun. Don't need to go through boot camp to know the only commentary that deserves is "it is a mooo-vie."

I know what you mean, though, I still get annoyed though about the stuff the editors should have caught - Tuvok really, really, really would have known that was the temporal bone, not the parietal bone.

Good point. Even before nursing school with non-medical plot lines, I was always picking up on obvious oversights, and frequently couldn't get past gaping plot holes. Sometimes I can, but not always.

Oh yeah, you and me both! Although some anime is kind of spooky - we don't seem to be too far off of some aspects of Ghost in the Shell, for instance (if you've ever seen it). Can't wait for my gorgeous fully prosthetic body! ;)

They are scary... I haven't really watched any other anime expect Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. It's taking me forever because it seems like it's going on forever. I only got hooked last year so I'm slowly but surely catching up with my obsessed friends. :clown:

It's really bad to be addicted during school time. lol

I hate the way people die in movies; perfect make-up, head carefully turned to the side, then death. I just roll my eyes each time I see that because I've seen death and no movie I've seen can capture or has been able to capture that 'empty-shell, almost porcelain-like' features of a real dead body.

Mistakes and errors in the TV shows don't really bother me. When I watch TV, it's purely for entertainment. Even those corny reality shows are my escape from my own reality.

What does annoy me to no end are scenes where the person running from the killer trips and falls. UGGHHH! When are victims going to stop tripping and falling????

I can tell you why they trip....because no matter what is going on they NEVER turn a light on! Wears me out! ")

After I worked in the ER for about a year. After that, I can't stand to watch medical shows. Never watch them at all.

I agree with the above about dead people not looking like dead people.

When watching a soap that has people working in a pub kills me as well.

NEVER after working a friday or saturday night did I not come home stinking of beer and possibly covered in it as well from a barrel change that I forgot to turn the gas off before I took the tap off! Never learn! And my hair sticking on an end from the humidity and before the smoking ban in Ireland smelling like an ashtray!

first thing I did was hop in the shower for at least 10min..................not hook up with my SF or sit down for a late night picnic!

I can just see you shouting at the screen, "!@#*&!!!, somebody just turn the frick'n light on!!!!!! Sheesh!!!!"
