Hey folks,

Has any gone through ASU's RN-BSN program? I was thinking about applying after NS. Any comments? Thanks in advance.

Only comment I have is that they don't have an online portion, so it's only really open to Phx people...

Bummer for me...

I start the program this fall. I'm down in Tucson but there are a group of us traveling together. We'll be going up to Phoenix once a week for a year. Classes are from 2-6pm with some online content. Hope that helps.

Well, yes! That does help...

I could swing once a week. And it's only for a year? NAU is 2 years...

Tell me more...

Here's what I've found. They do not require as many classes as NAU. You only need to take statistics on top of what you took for your ADN as a prereq. I'm taking it through Rio Salado distance and it's not bad at all. You will need 10 upper division general ed classes or credits (sorry I can't remember which right now) to graduate but the nursing portion will only take 12 months. They start classes in Aug and Jan.

I had been hoping to do the U of A's old RN-BSN program but they are not bring it back anytime soon. Let me know if you need anymore information.

A couple of us are applying here. Have you already been accepted for the fall? If I get in, maybe we'll be classmates!

Hello:

How did you like Statistics at RIO? I am taking it right now and am really worrying about the midterm. I was told the midterm is nothing like the homework and chapter problems. Do you have any thoughts on the class?

Thank you

I am in the alliance, and I'm trying to get in for the Aug start. I turned my app in late, so I had to petition but she emailed me awhile back and said I have a good chance to get in for august. I will know at the end of next week!

I graduated from Estrella Mountain CC two years ago. However, I had to take stats and also MAT142 to finish up the pre-reqs for ASU, I didn't have to do that to get into the community college program.

Thank you for all the info!

Do you guys know if a requirement of the program is to have floor RN experience? Also....you said the classes were 2p-6p...is that at ASU main? Does anyone know about ASU West?

I was considering a refresher course after not practicing since graduating, but maybe I should do RN-BSN instead? hmmmmmmm
