I submitted my application for the accelerated Summer 2010 program at ASU awhile ago, but I just realized that the February 1st deadline was coming up and wanted to see if anyone else here on allnurses.com applied or is applying. I'm so nervous, I've already applied once and didn't make it--I really, really, really, REALLY hope I can get in this time.
I'm already starting to get impatient waiting for April!!! My whole life is on hold until then! I hate that I can't apply to any other schools because I'm stuck waiting for ASU and I don't want to pay a bunch of application fees if I make it into ASU regardless. Don't get me wrong, though, I really want to get into ASU's program. I just want to get into nursing, really. It's just a little annoying that we will find out about getting into the program so late in the year .

You're supposed to sign up for all the classes EXCEPT 320. There was a second sent out saying that for whatever reason, we aren't allowed to sign up for more than 13 classes, I believe. So I guess you need to drop the NUR 320, and add whatever class you weren't able to add if that's the case? I didn't have any problems signing up for NUR 310, 311, 330 and 394. If it's still giving you problems you might need to call them. Ah, technology!

FOR = Faculty of record. They're your clinical instructor and the person you will be seeing the most, especially once you start clinicals for real. All of the FORs teach in lab and you'll rotate between them to learn different things on lab days but in clinical its just them. You'll do competencies with one watching, too.
The lab coordinator (who is also the same name you have as your 394/312 class) is not an FOR. She oversees all of the labs and sims and also teaches your 312 class and is an overall great person. her name is on there because 320 is also her class. The other name that is on there is the FOR that is responsible for your learning community. People in different LC's will have another name on theirs.
i'm in D4 right now! it's a pretty lucky number. just saying. haha. too bad i'll be in D9 in spring.
I feel retarded for asking this, but what's an FOR? Is that the professor that will be watching over us during clinicals/NUR 320?
tttt already answered this question, I just want to say that the one who teaches the 394 class and helps with lab is AWESOME! I love her she's so sweet and always encouraging us and making us feel really accomplished after every thing we do! They're all very nice and helpful really, but she leaves little notes like at the end of her powerpoints or in her announcements saying "keep stepping" and stuff like that.
