Hello, everyone!
I submitted my application for the accelerated Summer 2010 program at ASU awhile ago, but I just realized that the February 1st deadline was coming up and wanted to see if anyone else here on allnurses.com applied or is applying. I'm so nervous, I've already applied once and didn't make it--I really, really, really, REALLY hope I can get in this time.
I'm already starting to get impatient waiting for April!!! My whole life is on hold until then! I hate that I can't apply to any other schools because I'm stuck waiting for ASU and I don't want to pay a bunch of application fees if I make it into ASU regardless. Don't get me wrong, though, I really want to get into ASU's program. I just want to get into nursing, really. It's just a little annoying that we will find out about getting into the program so late in the year
.
Regardless, GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! :heartbeat
What scores are you all applying with?
Pineapple Crush,You had me cracking up! I gotta admit, "BANANA!" would definitely draw attention. Or we could do it old school like at the airports with someone holding a sign --> "ALLNURSES.COM" haha! ;] .... 2 days!!!

:rotfl: Hahahahaha! :rotfl:Sabrina you had me cracking up like crazy after I imagined myself in a chauffeurs outfit holding out a sign and waving everyone in this thread over!!! Or in a banana suit holding out a sign to be more visual and to make sure no one would miss it L
L!!
I got my stethoscope in the mail today and I :redbeathe IT! Now all I need are my uniforms and shoes to make it complete! (1) more day WOOOHOOO! See you all soon
Where do you see this??*going to go try and look myself*
Oh and welcome! Glad you found us. Just a couple more days until we all meet each other and our classmates. CRAZY!
Here's the link to the page to find out tuition for each different program in case the next link doesn't work. You go under Undergraduate in program specific tuition and fees, make sure you click on Summer 2010 on the left column of the page and then select Nursing.

This link should take you right to it!

Oh, man. I used the second link, but I hope to goodness that is WRONG. I guess we'll find out tomorrow, but if you look at the fine print at the bottom, specifically number 6, you'll see that there is no cap for the credit hours. So, we're supposed to take 16 (I think?) so, if you take the base number of one-credit hour at $632, and multiply by 16... that is definitely $10,112. AND if you look at the fine print number 3, it says that it doesn't include special fees (like lab fees) either. I guess we'll all find out tomorrow!
i totally agree! we're going to have to meet the other group of 60 eventually.also, everyone else note the awkward time that tarabara and i are awake at so we can get to our respective clinicals. haha
Yikes!!! You guys were up early... haha. I better enjoy my sleep now while I can! :zzzzz
My name is Bethany, by the way. :) I hope to see all of you tomorrow! And yes, Tarabara, we are meeting at 1pm so you guys will probably be long gone!

Pineapple Crush,
I clicked on the link and if you read #4 it says "Undergraduate students with total credit hours in excess of the threshold established by the Arizona Legislature are required to pay a tuition surcharge. For resident students the surcharge is $86 per credit hour."
I hope this means that for Residents it will be 9 credits at $4,699 + (7 credits * $86/credit = 602) = $5301 ? Did anyone else see it that way or am I way off? haha... $10,000 just seems ridiculously high; although, with ASU, I wouldn't be surprised.. Anyway, I'm trying not to stress it... See you guys tomorrow! :)

Yeah I noticed that, and I was roughly doing the math in my head and if it is $4,699 + (16 credits at $86/credit = 1376) which totals $6075, which is close to the $6600 that I had written down, which might be that plus the other fees and stuff. Who knows?!
And looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Again, my name is Eddie, one of probably only a few guys. I will be easy to spot with my military style haircut! :)
