I haven't seen any activity regarding the Army Nurse Corps. There is an impressive amount of AF/Navy posts which is incredible. I heard from a few recruiters that there are a very small amount of positions in Critical Care. I was told there were many Med-Surg and other specialties available however.

I am applying for Active Duty Critical Care ER for 2014. My application was sent to the board 10/31 and I am supposed to hear back the first week of December. So far I haven't been able to find much of any information on the internet about the program.

Is there anyone else out there? :)

Stephanie and scrubnurse I don't know but my recruiter said it's taking longer than usual this year, I'm also waiting for the same.

Ladyfaaz, where are you at in the process? Are you going active duty as well?

Scrubnurse, yes i'm going in for active duty. We were supposed to know in December. I thought at the latest Jan, so this waiting is sooooo hard.

Have you heard if you officially got in? I'm still waiting on the official word. I haven't signed any contract yet. Will feel better after I sign that! I see you are FNP? I am a CNM. And yes, I thought I would hear in December too! I hate being in limbo.

Dranger....no kidding!

Scrubnurse I wonder if they are processing by MOS because some of the nurses on this forum already know. My recruiter kind of hinded that I got selected from other things, but without telling me ofcourse. I understand though because he said he is also just waiting....he has not received confirmation yet to say I am officially in. He admitted it's taking unusually long. I also have not signed anything. All I need now is that official confirmation, and then I can wait for as long as they keep me waiting. At least I would kind of know how to plan...kind of!

Seems to me we are in the same boat.

He is great! Loves his Mama and Dada an absolute joy, actually today is his first birthday. Still waiting to hear from the board, but my recruiter says it has good shot at being god news since I was OML and accepted to USAGPAN. Additionally he told me that CRNAs and SRNA. Students mission critical for this FY. So hopefully we'll have some good news soon ! How is your wife doing? Probably wont get picked up due to her short time in but hey, it will be all good.

From what I understand, the regular RN board was in November and I was told my selection board was in December. I assume your fnp board was probably in December as well? That would make sense why some RNs know before we do. Hopefully we will all be in bolc together in July! I want to get to work already!!!!

shoot sorry man, been awhile before I answered. She is really loving it so far man. She will be going to the Captain board in April. Probably wont get picked up due to her short time in but hey, it will be all good.

Was she able to get her OER support form done? I sent her an email with some stuff a while back to help her out with it, but never heard back from her.

Haha, that sounds like her. For sure. I asked her and she said yes and she thanks you. Poor girl can barely keep up with facebook much less anything else. She's a pro ar candycrush though. How have things been going with you? Hope they have been good.

Doing well. A little tired of Afghanistan! Should be home in a couple of weeks.
