Army FY 2019

Hello, All! My packet for 66P AD packet is almost complete and will be submitted for the October Board, fingers crossed. Anyone else waiting for this board? How has your whole process been? Anyone who has previously undergone this experience is more than welcome to give input! Thanks!

Wow that’s awesome even for a holiday in the middle. I hope mine is that fast just knowing the decision will take a ton of stress off me. I’ll be in San Diego at the beginning of May visiting my sister (she’s Navy stationed there) when I may get the news so that’ll be fun Go Army beat Navy ?

Haha, yes, I was surprised at the turnaround time on the response! My time between selection and commission was only complicated by having to return to MEPS for the third time for an opthalmology consult. I am very nearsighted! So, selection was 29 Nov and commission date was 21 Mar. Still waiting on orders but I'll keep you updated!

Packed was reviewed and board concluded yesterday. Fingers crossed!!!

whoa! I thought the board didn't convene until april 16th? I'm sweating bullets over here, I hate waiting! Trying to get some documents and files together in the meantime since certified copies take forever to gather.

Just wanted to update everyone on my post from a while back. After 10 months of waiting I finally got my orders this week! 66P AR assigned to APMC.

That's fantastic! you'll have to tell us how your move goes, and how you like it there! GA was my third choice ? What were your station preferences?

Wow are you active or reserves? 10 months waiting on orders??? That’s quite a while. I’ve applied 66P as well

Rumor mill has it that the packets are apparently reviewed and approved individually versus all results published at once via memo, etc. I am a 66H but very interested in the NP pathways. I started my graduate school prereqs when I did my BSN.

They told me it will be about two weeks until an appointment memo is generated for commissioning, but I have also heard 30-60 days from another recruiter.

It seemed that everyone who went active received orders in a fairly timely manner. Myself & others who were selected for reserves during the October 2017 board just received our orders over the past month. The process has definitely been an exercise in patience.

How is it to be a Nurse Reserve? Did you undergo CNTP for 6 months?

For Direct Commission, you are not required to take the ASVAB.
