Hello, All! My packet for 66P AD packet is almost complete and will be submitted for the October Board, fingers crossed. Anyone else waiting for this board? How has your whole process been? Anyone who has previously undergone this experience is more than welcome to give input! Thanks!

That is awesome, I've been following this thread since the first post! I'm shooting for Air Force nursing with Army nursing as back up! Just starting my BSN next month. I still have 2 years basically.

Hi. If you have an ADN and RN, you can actually apply for Army reserve nurse corp. You should have your BSN by the time you are promotable to Major.
ARMY RESERVE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

That link is 9 years old. You can't currently commission as a nurse in any branch active, guard or reserve without a BSN from a you.S. ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing school.

For those that have already gone to DCC and BOLC, what did you do in between them? Were you allowed to come home for the week in between? I realize that things might be different when I go because of COVID, but I was trying to decided if I should drive or fly when I go to BOLC since I will be there longer.

I asked this same question with my recruiter, who was clueless about it. He basically told me that since we're not enlisted and actually responsible adults, he would imagine that they won't force us to stay at sill or Houston, but he said if that's the case then they would be required to provide housing. He told me to ask once I get there (helpful...). I'm planning to drive to everything since we have two vehicles. Flying sounds great but I am bringing sewing machine for patches and computer equipment, a mobile printer, etc. I can't lug all this through a flight with confidence that it will all make it safely.
JoyBelle I'm so excited to find someone who will be in my class!! I'll have to find you and say hello when we get there :)
