Arizona Pay Scale......

Published

We are think about moving to Arizona or Nevada.......

I am nurse with 10 years oncology nursing experience. I make $31.05/hr.

Is this comparable to Arizona pay?

Thanks a million......

:)

Specializes in PeriOp, ICU, PICU, NICU.

I make a dollar less than you with less than 3 years experience. Yes, I would say it is comparable.

Great-thanks for the info.

But I should add/ask.....I work in a clinic.

So I work NO weekend's/No Holidays.....

Considering this is it still comparable?

Thanks a bunch.....

Average AZ RN salary is about the same as the national average. The national median hrly rate is between $25.50 and $33.80 for RNs with 10-19 yrs experience.

From what I've seen clinics pay slightly less than bedside.

Specializes in oncology, med-surg.

I am wondering the same thing. Looking to relocate from TX to AZ...I make 23 as an ICU nurse with 2 years experience. What do nurses in the Phoenix Metroplex make? I have been seeing a range of 22-50. I would like to know what to expect. If you work in AZ, what do YOU make as an RN? Thanks!!!!!

$30/hr with 2.5 yrs experience. I just relocated to TX and pay stinks. Same cost of living as AZ where I am located.

I think with your experience, you should get about 27-29 an hour base. The hard part will be finding a job!

That doesn't really hold true in my experience. Most people I know (myself included) with about 2-3 years HOSPITAL experience (not LTC, MD office, etc.) earn anywhere from $28.50 to $30.00 an hour (not including overtime, call, etc). Top level at most Valley hospitals can hit around $42.00-$43.00. The few folks I know who have about 10 years experience or so earn around $37.00-$38.00. The national average is kind of low...

I recently accepted an offer from Abrazo centra campus in pheonix AZ as a RN for $30/hr. I only have 1 year experience from a very advanced institution so $30/hr seems very cheap for me. What I don't know is if RNs get an increase after orientation at this institution. I am reading all the documentation I received from Abrazo but nothing mentioned annual salary or increase. Also, I'm new to pheonix, with $30/hr what does your biweekly pay check looks like with one dependent? What do you thing about this offer?

The offer is ok. Mayo is 34.00 or so with 1 year. Abrazo is also a for-profit institution. I have found their facilities to be kind of awful and would never want to be a patient in any of their critical care units if I could help it. So I would keep interviewing - terrible hospitals. Your net pay depends on too many variables (health insurance, 401K, etc.) do give you any meaningful numbers.

Specializes in L&D, Trauma, Ortho, Med/Surg.

Does it make a difference at all if you have a BSN?
