I work on an ortho unit at a hospital in downtown Louisville. We are right across the street from the big children's hospital in town.

I will NEVER work peds. ever. I have never experienced a worse field in which to pursue my passion. The kids cannot be placated, the parents are nuts, and the tragedies are multiplied ten fold.

That being said, mucho props to the good pediatric nurses in the house; the work you all do is tremendous and awe-inspiring.

I wouldnt be happy in the OR...in the burn unit...or as a wound nurse.

Med-Surg or any floor nursing. I also could not work burn unit.

I'd love to do psych nursing but have NO psych experience. I've been ICU/CVICU for so long that I do not know if any psych unit would train me but I've thought about looking into it.

I would never do L&D. I don't have any children of my own, and the thought of labor honestly scares me. I wouldn't be an effective nurse, as I would prob pass out assisting in a vag delivery!:eek:

OMG. I would totally do the PEDS. I cannot wait to do that! LOL. I guess that is what makes all of us so unique. LOL.

I agree. I could not do the burn unit. UGH... Lord help me on that one.
