I'm doing an essay on careers and the way it's perceived by people in terms of attractiveness and intelligence of the profession. So I have a few questions that I hope I get some responses on.
1. Do you think your attractive?
2. Do you think your choice of career helped you get dates or no difference?
3. Do you think you are smart?
4. Name a career or careers you consider to be smarter or harder than yours?
5. Name a career or careers you consider less intelligent and easier than yours?
6.Name a career or careers(3 at the most please)you consider sexy other than your own?
7. Name a career or careers(3) you consider unsexy other than your own?
8. Fill in the blank I saw a group of Nursing Students at the beach and they were so______________
If you had read what I actually wrote you would have noticed how I'm doing research on why certain careers are considered more attractive than others. I didn't say anything about having to be good looking to be a nurse? I can tell you really pay attention to things, makes me want to ask what hospital you work in, so I know not to go there
The TITLE of your thread is "Are nurses generally more attractive"? The poster you insulted did pay attention.
Your questionnaire is so badly written, it's hard to believe it was generated by a college student.
Careers cannot be "smarter" or "less intelligent." "Your" is not interchangeable with "you're." Unless the nursing students on the beach are wearing white bikinis with red crosses or nursing school logos on the bras/Speedos, there would be no way for an observer to even know he was looking at a group of nursing students. That's just a silly question.
If your post is truly legit, you need to rewrite the whole thing. Put some thought into it next time and "pay attention" to spelling, grammar, and syntax.
OP, I think you need to learn some manners and I also think you need to go back to grade school for grammar lessons. You're insulting others when you don't even use the correct form of "your". You obviously need to review contractions.
Your: belonging to or associated with the person or people that the speaker is addressing.
You're: contraction meaning "you are"
1. Do you think your attractive?2. Do you think your choice of career helped you get dates or no difference?
You meant to use "you're" and not "your".
When you ask "do you think you're attractive" I take that to mean do I think I am an attractive person, not do I think my career is attractive. Getting nasty with a poster who questions why attractiveness has any impact on nursing is not called for.
I wasn't going to answer your questions (see correct use there) because of your attitude, however I'm going to bite.
1. Do you think your attractive?
- I think I am average. I have great eyes and hair, which have been complimented by patients, but my ability as a nurse has never been questioned due to my looks.
2. Do you think your choice of career helped you get dates or no difference?
- Honestly, I think my crazy schedule hurts my social life a heck of a lot more than it helps. It seems I'm always scheduled to work when events come up I want to go to- Murphy's Law.
3. Do you think you are smart?
- I think I have above average intelligence, but I don't consider myself a genius. I know plenty of people much smarter than I am.
4. Name a career or careers you consider to be smarter or harder than yours?
- Anything to do with economics. I loathe that topic. I'm happy there are people who enjoy it and are good at it. Everybody has their strengths.
5. Name a career or careers you consider less intelligent and easier than yours?
Being a model on The Price is Right- just smile and pretend to be amazed by prizes.
6.Name a career or careers(3 at the most please)you consider sexy other than your own?
- NHL Cheerleader
7. Name a career or careers(3) you consider unsexy other than your own?
- garbage collector, gas pumper, Nun
8. Fill in the blank I saw a group of Nursing Students at the beach and they were so______________
-so absorbed in their notes studying on the beach.
I personally don't think attractiveness and career choices correlate. Sexy careers? Unsexy careers? Your first two questions alone translate in my head to: rate myself on my personal hotness rating on a scale of 1 to 10 and then perhaps answer on the success of scoring tinder dates by advertising my career choice. This warrants an inability to take this survey seriously.Your response to the previous person indicates that her and I interpreted your questions similarly. You are trolling sir or madam.
No I'm not trolling and this is a subject that has been studied prior to me, and I'm wondering why those questions led you to assume that

If you both interpreted it that way then I apologize and agree it was poorly worded, but to go as far to assume I'm trolling seems a bit extreme. I can promise you I'm not trolling. If you want I will let you read it after I finish the final draft
