I'm doing an essay on careers and the way it's perceived by people in terms of attractiveness and intelligence of the profession. So I have a few questions that I hope I get some responses on.
1. Do you think your attractive?
2. Do you think your choice of career helped you get dates or no difference?
3. Do you think you are smart?
4. Name a career or careers you consider to be smarter or harder than yours?
5. Name a career or careers you consider less intelligent and easier than yours?
6.Name a career or careers(3 at the most please)you consider sexy other than your own?
7. Name a career or careers(3) you consider unsexy other than your own?
8. Fill in the blank I saw a group of Nursing Students at the beach and they were so______________
1. Do you think your attractive?Absolutely, my attractive
3. Do you think you are smart?
I am one of the smartest people I know.
4. Name a career or careers you consider to be smarter or harder than yours?
I don't even know what this means, and I am really smart.
5. Name a career or careers you consider less intelligent and easier than yours?
Yeah, I got nothin' here, either.

《《Hmmm. I have an assignment due for a class I'm taking. I need to ask people about their career choices. I think I want to write about nurses. I see them portrayed as sexy a lot in the media. Wonder what they think of that...
I don't feel like actually going somewhere to interview a nurse in person. What to do? Hey look! A website called All Nurses! Great! I'll just create an account and ask my questions there. Easy peasy! And it's not necessary to write my questions out in a thoughtful or coherent manner - they are nurses - they are supposed to be all compassionate and *want* to help me!

Hey, I'm not digging these responses. They keep saying my questions are bad and not well written. Meanies! I'll just respond in a snarky post and put them in their place.
More nurses complaining about me and my questions. Stupid @$/* (^#!^ ÷¥€# . I'm just going to insult everyone who tried to point out the errors I've made in my judgement then I'm just going to flounce on out of here! 》》
^^^^ Sometimes I wonder if the above is a semi-accurate description of what goes through OP's head. And honestly not just this person - we seem to get this a lot here.
People get upset if we don't fall all over ourselves spoon feeding them answers or if we try explaining why their preconceived notions might be insulting or hurtful to us. Little time is spent typing out their posts, and we are bombarded with poor spelling, incorrect word usage, and text speak.
Yet we get cursed if we aren't compassionate nurses peeing glittery rainbows.
I love this place, but it gets old when people just expect us to bend to their will and do their work.
I know so many members here are fantastic and enthusiastic nurses who love to help other nurses and nursing students understand difficult topics - as long as that person puts forth an effort and show just a little gratitude.
**Shuffling down from soapbox, feeling kind of crummy.
