Applying to UCLA MECN to start Fall 2015?

Hi! Is anyone applying to UCLA's MECN program? Last year I applied and wasn't accepted. I believe they accepted around 12%. They had 70 spaces down from 90 the previous year.

Did you check the decision site ou or spam?

Yes I checked everywhere. My log in still says no decision has been made.

Has anyone on the waiting list been contacted about acceptance yet?? I know it's probably too soon, but I'm anxious í ½í¸í ½í¸³

For those of you who did not get accepted, it took me many rejections throughout my years from other schools to finally be accepted this year. Everything happens for a reason, just don't give up!

@sandram417 I believe admitted students have until tomorrow to submit a Statement of Intent to Register. After that, they'll probably start working on contacting people on the wait list.

Congrats to all that have got in!! As a current MECN student, it's a crazy ride but it goes by faster than you think! See you in the fall! :)

Btw after you all join fb, you may want to change the name to UCLA MECN Class of 2017 or something of that nature so you all don't get confused with the class that is graduating this year :) So excited for you all!! If you have any questions, let me know! I know the admission coordinators are super busy.

@ tatumollusk , as far as I know, they accept however many students they have spots for (50, or 70, not sure which) and then some applicants are asked to be on the waitlist. They don't accept 100, for example, and then hope their yield will be 70. I'm a current MECN. Hope that helps!

thank you for replying! this is the best news i've heard in a while! back to the waiting game. it's torturous but i'm optimistic. :nailbiting::)
