Applying to UCLA MECN to start Fall 2015?

Hi! Is anyone applying to UCLA's MECN program? Last year I applied and wasn't accepted. I believe they accepted around 12%. They had 70 spaces down from 90 the previous year.

Hi guys, those of you who need to retake Physio online, how does the lab portion work? I remember when i took it 5 yrs ago at community college it had lab class. i'm planning to go with UCSD extension Online class and it's only 3 units and no indication about lab.. however that class is approved for UCLA. please advise! thanks all!

Hello everyone,

I wanted to know if any of you have (or will be taking) the Epidemiology course offered online by BYU - (HLTH 345). I know that this an approved course, but I've heard that some students in the past have had complaints about the course. Does anyone have any words of advice about this?

Hi I'm new to the forum and wanted to reply to the above question. I applied to UCLA MECN for FALL 2015 and I got accepted. I have to take the EPI during the summer. There's also UCLA EPI 100, has anyone taken this class at UCLA?

Hey sandram417, I took the BYU class online last summer--I actually didn't think it was that bad. The class at UCLA is probably better but BYU is a more affordable option. I have the textbook for the BYU class if anyone wants it for free, otherwise I'm just going to donate it. Congrats on getting in to UCLA!

What did you think of the course? I am thinking about taking the BYU course over this summer. Were you able to finish it within two months or so? I have heard that you need to find a proctor to administer your tests, and then they mail them back and forth between the school and proctor which can take time. I am concerned with finishing the class in a 6-8 week period like the UCLA Epi class does.
