So... I'm on the waitlist. A very low number, but waitlist nonetheless. I know that universities consider enrollment yields when offering admissions- I think typically a university will admit more people than they anticipate having in their cohort, expecting that not all accepted will matriculate. This year's is the smallest MECN cohort size to date (website says 50 admitted, whereas in the past cohort sizes were 60, 70, or 90), and I'm just wondering if anyone knows just how many people the SON accepts. Do they accept no more than 50, and use the waitlist for those of the original 50 accepted who turn it down? Or, might they admit 70 or so, because they know that not all 70 will accept? Anyone who attended an info session, or any current MECNs know the answer to this? I'm really excited but also kind of anxious!!! And I'll be sure to update you all when (or if!) the waitlist starts moving and I do get in. (:
