Applying to MDC RN Generic Prgm for Fall 08

Stressing! I am applying to MDC RN prgrm for the fall of 08 with a 3.2 and will be taking my last two pre reqs over the summer and GPA will be a 3.5 once i'm done with the summer semester. Not exactly sure how they will decide on whether or not to accept me but I'M TOTALLY ANXIOUS! (have not even turned in my application yet) LoL Someone, ANYONE, pls HELP! There is all this talk about how difficult it is to get into the prgrm and NOW i'm worried i'm not going to get accepted!:uhoh3:

Well I applied for the Jackson Scholars program. I spoke to a couple of the students who are in it, and they love it... now to begin the search for a cpr course! lol:eek:

Where are you taking the course, MDC? I tried to call the number on the admission letter but they never answer. How much was the course?

I wonder if I can take the online CPR/BLS course

Yeah, I'm taking it at MDC. I called the number and got an answer. They just gave me the course i.d. name and I was able to look for the course online, and register. The course i.d. is HRF004. It costs $69.

Hi guys , I did my cpr course yesterday at the Medical campus. It was from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. You do not need to buy the book and you do not have to take a test. It was very easy and fast!!!!!!

I'm gonna take the course at Hallandale Fire rescue. They offer the BLS for health care providers for $25.00

has anyone looked at the fall 08 nursing open classes for the program? I'm confused when I see the comments underneath... for example for nur1025c it says 8am-10:45am and the comment says: Generic Full-Time ebds 3:45 w/vreak sequence 1 semester 1...

Is the semester broken up into sequences? Sequence 1 and 2 have the same start and end dates.... I'm Confused!!!!!!!

I think we are supposed to apply in orientation. Not before. I think this is what they said.

I know that we have to apply after orientation, but we are still able to look up the available times and dates for the classes on MDC open class search. Thats what Im looking at because im trying to see if I can work, and what times i can work. There are sequences in the comments and It has me confused as I said above. So I was trying to see if anyone was as curious as me about the schedule and found out. I called Ms. Maria Moya twice and she hasnt called me back

So I did my Interview for the Baptist Scholars yesterday.... 8 PANEL INTERVIEW!!

I think I did well , but maaaaannn was I intimidated when I saw all of them people!

For those who've gone on their interviews, good luck! Francois said that they should be calling within a couple of weeks... Orientation is in a couple of weeks though, I hope we'll know by then because we're going to able to register then for "regular" classes.
