AP I Summer '08 - I need some study online buddies!!!

So I've decided to do the necessary evil of taking AP I over the summer. Yikes.

I'm only taking the lab & lecture; no other courses.

I need to have it done by Aug 31 to apply for the Fall '09 Charity S. Of N. in New Orleans.

Let's make this thread the OFFICIAL AP I 08 SUMMER!!!

Whew this summer is crazy. I was planning to take A & P I this summer and then I couldn't get into the class - they were all full :( Then I tried again the Sat before school started and I was able to get into a class. YEA!

So now I've been in school for two weeks and we have our first test today - Lab and Lecture are on the same day! I'm taking Art History at the same time - but the A&P is what is overwhelming me.

I'm really worried about our lab test because we have a ton of slides on it that we will have to identify.! UGH!:no:

so far:

I got a B on my first exam,

wich as about history, and principles of A & P plus human origen, adaptation, medical terminology and scientific methods!

I got an A on

anatomical positions, planes, terms,body regions, cavities, membranes, organ systems + atoms, molecules, water and mixtures, energy and chemical reactions, and organic compounds.

on my 3rd test today i got an A on

cellular structure, cell surface, proteins, membrane transport, cytoplasm, organelles, tonicity, osmosis,excretion, phago and pino cytosis, endo and exo cytosis and all that good stuff!

on my test tomorrow it will be on

DNA RNA, genes, nucleic acids,protein syntesys, secretion, dna replication, cell cycle, chromosomes, heredity....

hopefully I will get an A

Genes, DNA, RNA protein synteses,

So far we've had two quizzes (8.6/10 and 10/10) and the first exam (98!). It was on the intro to anatomy, chemistry, body planes, and cells.

My professor, so far, has been great.

Day 4 of class tomorrow and we will have our second quiz. First quiz I got 10/10. Our first lecture exam is Monday and will be on our first 5 chapters. It will cover: structural organization, language of anatomy, basic chemistry, chemical bonds, chemical reactions, inorganic/organic compounds, Cells, cell growth and reproduction, the different tissues, and the Integumentary system.

So far flash cards have been my best friend! I'm really enjoying the class and not feeling "too" much pressure but my instructor said that lab exam 1 is what gets to most people. She said we will come in and see nothing but bones...so I will make sure to study extra hard for that.

Well I took my first test over Ch 1 and 2 today. I'm content with my grade, I made an 84. This is an online course, I had no idea what the format would be or anything. It was all multiple choice and true/false. I was hoping for some labeling or something. I guess that comes with the lab test????

I also submitted a bonus question and got full credit for it so that's an extra 5 pts. And my first lab project I rec'd 15/15.

Now I know what to expect so hopefully I'll do better on my next test.

Way to go everyone on your first week or couple of weeks of summer class in A&P!!

We are receiving quizzes just about everyday and so far i'm doing pretty well. Our first lab exam is on Thursday and i'm study like crazy. I feel better knowing that there are others out there who are doing the same thing that I am doing!

I'm going to go ahead and thank everyone now for all the support!!

Our lab exam on Thursday will be on Chapters 1 thru 7 from our lab manual. Will let you all know how I do!

i have power points on all the subjects, our teacher e-mailed them to us, besically they are the LECURE, will all the important materials and so forth, so if you need any on any subject let me know.

by the way, watch this great movie on you tube, that will clarify and explain really well the RNA to RPOTEIN synthesis

Hi everyone... I am taking apI online with Clovis. Its overwhelming to me. My first quiz was 100, my second was 74... already slipping.

I have to read 1 chapter everyother day and having trouble remembering it all. The second chapter on Chemical Basis of life was daunting. Any tips would be appreicated. I'm taking english and algebra too for financial aide. eight weeks and counting.
