AP I Summer '08 - I need some study online buddies!!!

So I've decided to do the necessary evil of taking AP I over the summer. Yikes.

I'm only taking the lab & lecture; no other courses.

I need to have it done by Aug 31 to apply for the Fall '09 Charity S. Of N. in New Orleans.

Let's make this thread the OFFICIAL AP I 08 SUMMER!!!

my study tips are kinda wack but i manage to get A's i had 1 b in my first quiz, but then my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, i got A's!

1- I pay crazy attention at class, really as much as i possible can, and i ask a whole lot, and answer whatever she asks, (sometimes i answer in my head so i give other people chances to answer, but if they take toooooo long i just answer it so we can move on and keep the rythm)

2- i use SKITLES!!! that is right the candy! whenever i have something that it is fresh, brand new to me, i eat 1 sour skitles, and keep my concentration on class, then once i am taking the test, when it gets to that same subjece on my test, i will eat another skitles, the taste helps me remeber stuff (i learned that from psycology class, thought it was stupid untill i did it, and i taught another girl and she does the same thing, but her "thing" is coffe)

3- when i finish the class, i run straight to the library, (on my lunch time after school, before work) and study the material for like 1 and a half hours!

4- when i am at work, whenever i have a chance, i re-write the whole power point, or lecture, with my own words, (some times it takes forever, when i am busy here at work), and then, by re-writing it i kinda helps me to learn it more

5- me and another couple of girls, come to class about 30 minutes early when it is test day, so we can verbaly quiz one another!!!!

then i get A's (i have am the only person with A's in the class) the average for the quizzes so far is 73 (but there are a couple 40's)!!!!

Thank you so much for puttings those sites up. I have my first lab practicum tomorrow morning and have been trying to remember all the tissues!

Now i'm trying to remember the functions and locations of the tissues and its always helpful to have another picture (besides the ones in the books) to help with them. I'm going to go and check them out now to see if they have slides on that site.

I got an A yesterday on DNA LAB!

Thanks for the tips... I have been studying all week for my first exam, my eyes feel like they are bleeding....LOL

Anywhoo, I got a 96!! YES!! Honestly its in short term memory and the thing about doing AP online, there really is no lecture... I really didnt think that thru.... but I'm here now and will CLAW my way to that A (smile) I have told my kids, fend for yourselves until July 25. They have a prepaid visa card taped to the refrig for eat outs.... Dont worry they are 16 and 13 and have been homeschooled all their lifes....

Carlos you are great in your study tips... I am applying some of them... I still have to figure out how to get a verbal lecture.... I think I am an audio learner...

Hey all!

I got the results of my first lab practicum....I'm excited to report that I have received an A!! WOOOO HOOOOO!!!

Now studing for my lecture exam for Monday. This weekend is definitely going to be a studing weekend for me.

Congrats to all who are doing well on their exams as well!!!

6 weeks and counting.....lol (although, I do love this class)

Congratulations Csantos......Thanks for posting those websites...great information there.....I would love one for Human Biology if you have one. I'm gonna have to try the skittle thing.....my Pychology Prof had mentioned it as well.....lol

Hi, I am interested in taking the online AP class from Clovis. Do you guys know if there are prereqs for this class? Can I just register directly or do I still need to show proof of prereq completion?

I would appreciate any feedback. Good luck to those taking it this summer!
