  1. Whew this summer is crazy. I was planning to take A & P I this summer and then I couldn't get into the class - they were all full Then I tried again the Sat before school started and I was able to get into a class. YEA! So now I've been in school for two weeks and we have our first test today - Lab and Lecture are on the same day! I'm taking Art History at the same time - but the A&P is what is overwhelming me. I'm really worried about our lab test because we have a ton of slides on it that we will have to identify.! UGH!
  2. I am so right there with you....I started working on my prereqs then started doing really well in my job so school was put on hold - so over the course of the last 10 years I've been off and on the school bandwagon....now I have all my prereqs for a BS degree - although I will be appling for both 4 year and 2 year progrmas. But now my Anatomy and Physiology are over 5 years old so I have to retake them UGH! So at my local community college you have to take an assesment test and pass before you can register for either Anatomy or Phys----different test for each class. While studing for finals I did this however - even though I registed as soon as I was able - during the first week - all the Ant classes are full . So now I have to either attempt to take both A & P at the same time during the fall semester or it will be another year before I can apply due to the way the deadlines fall! I keep telling myself there is a goal in sight and I'm closer then before but it's sooooo furstrating.
  3. Hey I'm in! I just got my letter that I passed the assement test so now I can register for Anatomy for the summer! I will register next week and class starts May 27.
  4. just jumping in here......... I'm currently finishing my associates degree in another area then I will be retaking Anatomy and Physiology since mine are over 5 years old. I too will be applying to ACC and Temple, but since I will already have and Asc degree I'm really interested in Texas State's program (although not having much luck getting info ). Can't wait till I'm actually in the program....I've been working on this off and on for 17 years gawd........but I'm actually seeing light at the end of the tunnel. KellasCat
  5. Definitely research your school, and there will be differences between a BSN program and an ADN program. But all will require A&P I & II and Micro. Also you will need to check into the community college - my cc requires that you pass a department specifies skills test before you are allowed to sign up of A&P I, even if you've take the class before.
  6. Hello Everyone! Born and raised in Texas. I'm 38, married with 1 beautiful dtr. I very excited as next year I will be attending Nursing School (I hope). I'm currently finishing my Associates degree, then I will have to retake A&P I and II due to the fact mine are soooooo old. My dtr will graduate HS in May and then we are relocating to another city in Texas for me to go to nursing school! Have already had a transcript review and spoken to the school - one of a few that don't have a waiting list and it looks like I should have no problem getting in. Will be working on my BSN! FINALLY this has been a long time coming!
