Can anyone tell me when to expect to get EAD once you file AOS. I already have visascreen.

Did my finger printing today and desperately wating for EAD now.

yeah did my finger printing too... well let us hope we receive it next week, by the way, which service center are you using? mine is texas...

I still did not get my EAD. Even my I-140 has been approved already. My I-485 has been reviewed and they need additional documents (VS) that i will send on Monday. My I-131 has been reviewed as well and they need something else also. But have not heard anything about my EAD.:uhoh3: It does not really bother me at this point as i am on OPT now, but still want to have it.

when was your case filed. if it was 90 days ago then you have the right to get interim EAD( according to my layer).You just need to complain them.

When petitions are no longer accepted will it affect the status of the applicant as a visitor or Does it only affect applicants only when petition is denied?

The nurse that is here on a tourist visa will not be able to have peititions submitted, well before the denial step. The only one that will be able to be submitted is the I-140 and that does not permit the nurse to work, etc.

when was your case filed. if it was 90 days ago then you have the right to get interim EAD( according to my layer).You just need to complain them.

If a file is missing something, then it is not a complete petition. If the file was complete, that is another story.

My petition was filed about 60 days ago.

Suzanne, you mean that because i did not submit VS along with I-485, my EAD is not approved? Well it might be the case, but sometimes they dont even review I-485 and still approve I-765. Anyway, as I said they sent to my attorney request to submit my VS and she will do it on Monday by overnight mail. SO they will have it next week. Hopefully, after they receive it they will approve my EAD and my I-485 but if they approve my I-485, i dont think i will need my EAD at that point. So it is kinda vise-versa.

The can approve the EAD without the Visa Screen Certificate, but will ask for it before they can complete your process for the green card. Average time to get the EAD is about sixty days, can be shorter, or can be longer.

Right now things are crazy as everyone is trying to get everything submitted before the cut-off date and completed.

You should be just fine.

got my EAD already and went to SS administration to get a number... well i would have to wait for green card approval and i hope it will not take years to have it...
