last year, i was not entertaining the thought that i would need to renew my wife's and my EAD. Now, with nursing immigration not being a priority for the US congress, i might as well accept the fact that there is a big possibility that we have to send in our renewal application for our EAD when June comes :angryfire

yes you can change your employer provided your I-140 is APPROVED and your I-485 is pending for MORE THAN 180 days and as long as the new job is in the same or a similar job classification. This is courtesy of AC21 Portability.......BUT if i were you, i would stick with your employer until you get your greencard

and yes, my wife and I are both stuck on EAD's hehehe!!! she would be quitting her job next month as she would be taking the NCLEX-RN exam this june so it means ill be the only one to work for 5-6 weeks until she passes the exam :o

I have one question here, MY I-140 is approved and I-485 is on it's way, Is it possible for me to work under different Employer using my EAD if my employer who filled I-140 has no objection? will it hurt my GC processing?

Please advise!.

as long as you have your EAD, you can work part-time with another employer provided you work full-time for your sponsoring employer

hello jonRNMD,

Thanks for the reply. Can you give a link to the USCIS website or any other where I can get this Infoormation?

And do you have to tell the employer that petitioned about your intended part time job?
