Can anyone tell me when to expect to get EAD once you file AOS. I already have visascreen.

I think you have done your premium processing? and got it very fast.

Hope I will also get it soon....

I have one more question, if you get alien number(A****) does it meanVISA is avaible for those?

There are no visas available right now to any nurse and unless the I-485 was submitted before the deadline, there will no EAD either.

There still will not be a visa issued until there are green cards available, only permission to work.

Premium Processing has not been required if you are in the US, things have been moving quite fast for those that had their documents completed and submitted on time. As long as the cut-off date was met, then there is no issue, and if it was not met, then the Premium Processing fee is useless, nothing can go further than the I-140.

EAD normally requires the fingerprints be done before it will be released. Just because something is created, does not mean that it will be sent.

Thanks Suzanne!!...

I have submited all my documents(approverd I-140; PD:MAR-22-2006) and on OCT-30-2006 and received the NOR and done with my Biometrics(G-325) also. My question is since I got the aligen registraion numbe(A**) in the receipt(I-485) does it mean they have alloted the number since VISA is availbale..sorry If I take it wrong way :)

I just arrived here via tourist visa last june 20, 2006 and my case was filed last october 23, 2006. Received my NOR last october 30, 2006 and my appointment notice last n0vember 2, 2006. Did my biometrics and fingerprinting last nov. 9, 2006. Received my EAD today, nov 20, 2006... my service center is texas...

my question is that i got a letter from USCIS today stating that my I140 petition have been approved, and also a letter regarding my I485 application requesting for evidences like VSC from cgfns, a copy of my current state license... they're giving me 12 weeks to submit these RFE... if i happen to submit all these RFE, what will happen next?

anyone who have inputs are appreciated... thank you so much!

I just want to clarify one thing:

1. Did you receive your EAD card, your I-140 approval and your I-485 RFE at the same day - 11/20??????

If you do, that is really unusually unique case (at least I feel that way)

As far as what happens after you submit your documents for I-485. No one knows. My documents the received on Nov 1. No approval yet. I believe until the next quota is released (if there is any), nothing will be done. But who knows. All we can do is hope and pray.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!!

I did not use the premium processing service. The I-140 is still pending. It is just the I-131 was approved. For EAD, I am not sure what they said in the online status update--"sent for production"--meant. And I have not received the finger print notice neither.

In terms of the A number, I am not sure about its implication on the availability of visa number.

EAD normally requires the fingerprints be done before it will be released. Just because something is created, does not mean that it will be sent.

Today I got the e-mail from INS that, they have sent mail asking for some additional evidence/information, this is for my EAD(I-765), did anyone got like this kind of queries of EAD from INS. If so, what might be that?

Please advise.

No............it is strictly an alien registration number since you are in the US.

Alien registration number is not a visa number, and you do not get that until you get your green card.

Allotted visas are gone................as long as you get your EAD, you have permission to work............depending on where you were born will be the governing factor as to when you will get your green card, but the deadline of the end if October was just for getting documents submitted, there was never a guarantee of getting a green card with that, just that you would be able to get the EAD and continue the process.

Ir can be anything, usually proof that you have passed the English exams, and have a Visa Screen Certificate. They are starting to get stricter lately, since there were quite a few in the past that could not pass the English exams after working here for one year and their EADs were not able to be renewed and they could not get a green card because of same.

Be very careful of even considering using that I-131, it does not guarantee that immigraiton will let you back into the country and states so right on the document that you received from them. I would only use it for an emergency. Anything else and you are playing Russian Roulette. It is purely at the discretion of the immigration officer when you arrive back and I have seen some refused.
