Anyone waiting on Acceptance/Rejection Letter '2012

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I am now playing the waiting game. Applied to only 1 school for Spring of 2012, finished my pre-req's with a 3.7 GPA and passed the NLN in the 94 percentile. Now Im waiting to hear whether or not I got in. Advisor said decision would be made middle of this month with letters going out end of this month. These weeks seem to be dragging. I feel confident I got in with my scores but who knows how everyone else did. So there is always that doubt.

Just looking for some company for those playing the waiting game too. :yeah:

I just applied today! The cutoff is next week. I have a 3.93 GPA but feel it is not enough. The program is super competitive. I don't know how I am going to wait this out.

Hey all! Gosh, I haven't been on this forum in ages. I applied to transfer into UConn's BSN program for fall 2012. They only take about 7% of nursing applicants, so we will see in the next month or two. I will have all gen ed courses done before I walk in the door (if I'm accepted). So I'd be basically part time for the first two years.

As a 30 year old mom of two, let me give some of you youngins advice :lol2: :

If you don't get accepted, it's just not the time. There is always more time to make yourself a better candidate. I'm partially expecting not to get in because all I've done for the last 12 years out of high school was have babies and take classes. No volunteering, no working, nothing. If I'm not accepted, then I have some time to work on those things since my kids are a bit older. You younger guys have the upper hand. You have time on your side. It's not the end of the world. That just gives you more time to increase your awesomeness :smokin:

Best wishes to all and congrats to those who are taking the next step towards their future!

I applied a few days ago for Fall 2012. We'll receive letters of accept./reject. during April. It's going to be a loooong spring :)

Good luck to all the applicants!!

Applied for 3 schools in nh and the deadline just passed. Now it's the waiting game until march I think :( I want to hibernate like a bear until then but I have those pesky pre reqs to deal with!

I feel everyone's pain on the loooooong wait. I applied mid-August (the first day of the semester, actually) for a Fall 2012 start and won't hear anything until the first week of JUNE! Trying to distract myself by taking my last two prereqs this Spring and getting ready for the TEAS. Not to mention my new job at the hospital starting next week!

Good luck to everyone still waiting for a decision!

I feel your pain!! I submitted my Application for Fall 2012 Semester back in October (deadline not until Feb 2012) with letters of acceptance/denial not expected until March 2012!!!

Good Luck to ALL and if anyone thinks of any ways to pass the time quicker let me know!!

I am waiting also! They said we should here something by mid February! I really hope so (^.^)

Sent in my application a few weeks ago - deadline for applications for Fall 2012 is February 3rd with award letters going out 'late March'. I don't have high super high hopes, but am hopeful.

I submitted with a 4.0 HS GPA, a 3.1 college transfer GPA, and a 24 ACT score. Last year, the average for the group accepted was 3.5 HS GPA, 3.5 college transfer GPA

They average 250 applicants per semester and have 64 slots.

Just finished submitting the last of my documents. I have to verify that they received my last transcript but otherwise, my waiting starts now. Since they have their 'new student welcome' in April, I'm guessing I will know sometime in March.

Wow only 250 applicants a semester. Here we get in the 1000s!I applied to fall 2012. I'm waiting on 3 CCs and 3 BSN programs. So far I have finished applications to 1 CC and all 3 BSN programs. BSN programs are the first to notify starting in March to July. The CCs send out notices between April to late July. It will be along 6 months

I am in a waiting game as well, Fall 2012. I have 4.0 GPA in my pre-reqs and 3.8 overall, I have Associate Degree in Science. We get about 300 applicants and 50 spots to fill. We will find out mid March, this is going to be a looooong winter. Good Luck everyone.
