Hey all,
I'm taking microbiology this fall (a 16 week course) and was wondering if anyone else was too. I thought it'd be fun to stick it out together since I've heard the class can be ridiculously challenging and offer each other support and tips. It will at least be good to have someone to vent to!
I'm also taking physiology this fall while working part time... I'm in for a rough 16 weeks!! School starts Aug 22.

Good luck!!
I'm taking A&P I and Microbio (both with labs) too! Plus Nutrition, Biomedical Ethics, and Developmental Psych I. Starting school Aug 22.
I've been advised against taking all these classes at once, so we'll see how that goes...

Hello. Taking pre-req's in order to apply for nursing school Fall 2012. I keep seeing this microbiology that everyone has to take and well I was wondering why I don't. LOL! I know everyones school is different. I'm going to a community college in Virginia and Microbology isn't anywhere on the curriculum. What is that class about?

Purchased, well rented, books yesterday... $105! We are using the textbook: Microbiology: Intoduction by Tortora, Funke and Case; a photographic atlas and a clinical lab manual by Marshall. I skimmed through everything and I'm starting to get excited! I've heard mixed reviews about my professor so I'm hoping for the best. Did you guys purchase your books yet?
And good luck

Wow, you have a packed schedule!! 5 classes!! Do you work? Just wanted to make sure you have plenty of time to commit to those classes! I took Nutrition (online) over the summer and it wasn't too bad, just busy work and reading but nothing I had to study for. Your biomedical ethics class sounds fascinating though! I wish they offered something like that here.

Good luck all!! I took Micro as a 8 week course this summer along with a 5 week course of Developmental Psych and it was a brutal summer. I am sure that a regular 16 week course of micro is not that bad though. I also enjoyed lab more than lecture.

Took patho micro this past winter/spring. Had a great professor that taught a great class. Got a 94 in the class as a matter of fact. Does require a decent amount of studying but nothing I would want to do while taking A&P.
