Anyone taking Microbiology this fall?

Hey all,

I'm taking microbiology this fall (a 16 week course) and was wondering if anyone else was too. I thought it'd be fun to stick it out together since I've heard the class can be ridiculously challenging and offer each other support and tips. It will at least be good to have someone to vent to!

I'm also taking physiology this fall while working part time... I'm in for a rough 16 weeks!! School starts Aug 22.

Yes!! I'm going to BC right now, I'm applying to BC in March, CSUB in Jan, and AVC in Jan also. That is sooo funny lol

I'm taking A&P I and Microbio (both with labs) too! Plus Nutrition, Biomedical Ethics, and Developmental Psych I. Starting school Aug 22.

I've been advised against taking all these classes at once, so we'll see how that goes...

Wow :yeah:,Im taking A&P I Lec/Lab and Elem of Nutrition starting on Aug 23. I was going to hold off on micro till Summer term But now that I see your course load I may just stop being a whimp and take it in the Spring with A&P II lec/lab. At my college Micro is not need until you get in the program so hopefully that will boost me a little higher on the Nursing applicant list for Aug 2012 :rolleyes:

Good luck!

I just finished a 5 week Micro course and it was a killer. We covered the whole entire book of 20 some odd chapters! It was insanely intense! I had class 2 nights a week from 6-10 and lab one night, same time. Honestly, I can't believe I even made it through!

On one hand I'm glad it only took 5 weeks to complete, but on the other hand I feel like I could have learned more over a longer period. There is just way too much information to absorb in such a short period of time; however, the class was extremely interesting!

I am taking Micro this fall and we start the week of the 22nd. I'm a little anxious for sure! I've been listening to some of the professor's podcasts from his Spring class to kind of get ahead of the game.

I love the idea of an online study group! This is my last co-req class for the ADN and am hoping to start the clinicals next fall. I'm also taking classes towards the BSN while I wait to start clinicals. Besides micro, I am taking Ethics, a Humanities class and a communications class.

We are using this book which my campus bookstore wanted $150 for USED. I was so happy to find it on Amazon used for $23.99 shipped! If only I could have found all of my books that cheap.

I'm taking Micro online in the Fall and am using the Tortora text as well. I've been reading ahead in hopes of easing my way in somewhat. my class starts 8/22.

I'm taking Micro, Nutrition, and Human Growth and Development. I'm applying for the Spring 2012 semester for a BSN. If I get accepted, I only need to maintain a B average in my courses. (whew) At least that may take a little pressure off to get all A's this semester!!
