what was your score?
I took it in April 07 and made an 1133... 99.9 percentile. I think NCLEX was harder (took that today). BTW, I studied for HESI with the Hesi/Nclex book that was written by a few of the writers of the HESI for our school (it was published in Houston).
Thanks guys, I finally passed with 1128 --99.99%. ButI still don't like the exam.
I just graduated on Aug 2 and the week of graduation I took a HESI exam.
First of all, it was the only one we took the whole program, and we were the last class to be able to take it and graduate no matter how well or poor we did. The next class after us had to sign at the beginning of the program that they will be using it as an exit exam, to be taken 2x after which if they fail it, they have to remediate somehow(I'm not sure if it is a semester, refresher course or what).
The point is that we did not truly take it seriously, b/c the school did not present it to us in a serious fashion. Hense none of us truly put our heart and sole into studying for it like we had throughout our entire program.
So without prepping in any fashion, I did manage to score approximately around the same amount as I had scored all through the program and I was told I would pass the NCLEX with that score(78%). Imagine how much better I would have done if I had cracked a book?
Whoever said it is correct. We all found the questions rediculously harder than any NCLEX type questions we have come across so far and extremly wordy questions at that. And the math was absolutly absurd again compared to any NCLEX calculation problems I have tackled in my searches to study for the boards. However the instructor that the HESI company sent to the school for 3 days of review on what the boards are like and the little tips and hints on how to answer questions and zoom into what's important and what is not was a well spent 3 days for all of us before we did take the exam.
And that's all I have to say about HESI. Good luck to anyone having to pass that darn thing to get out of school. I'll pray for you!
I had to take the HESI to exit my nursing program. I scored a 1050 (passing is 850) and used the Saunders Q&A review book and CD as well as the RN3500 (google it online, it's totally free!) for review. We had a HESI final prior to the HESI exit, and I found the questions to be most similar to the Saunders Q&A review, as it is an Elsevier book and the HESI is an Elsevier published test. :)
Good luck to you!
Jess
HELP! I am graduating and we have to take the Exit HESI to get our diplomas. I have already taken it 3 times...815, 756, 816 are my scores...I have used Saunders, Springhouse, Kaplan, and the HESI book to study. I have done over 5,000 questions since September, I don't know why I can't pass this thing. Anyone have any advice? Thanks! Next retake is in 9 days!
