Anyone hear from the HRSA nursing scholarship????

Sunshine, I think there is a very good chance that there will be some people who either can't get the stuff back in time (I found out yesterday after class and had to have my stuff faxed back to them today) or changed their minds that they will pick more people.

Congrats apoole, are you floating around like me? However, several people looked very bitter today in class. It's not my fault they haven't even looked into scholarships. Right?

How do you know you got it apoole? I called today about what it says on the website about having your contract in today and they said that was a mistake and that everyone that gets a scholarship will receive a letter. Did they call you or something?

I called twice and both reps said they had no list to tell you who got it and I find that silly because what on earth do they do all day if they have no info to give you?

I called them and they said the whole Sept. 25th deadline was a mistake and everyone will get letters. Why is it different for you?

They called me yesterday evening and left a voicemail, I was unable to get in touch with them until today - where they let me know I got it - they then sent me an email with the contract attached (though it is also available on the website). They also said it was necessary to get the contract faxed today by 5. They told me that letters will be coming later. I don't know why they did it the way they did, or why they are giving you different information - maybe they don't want to tell anyone that they did not get it, if they might possibly get it when some of the contracts are not signed?

I don't think that I will get it. My status online says application packet complete, it does not say application pending like apoole77, not that I know what the status of people who got accepted says!! I called and they said that everyone will be notified by letter so I assumed that if I did get one I would have been calle like you guys were. I am happy for you two!!

I agree that they probably don't want to tell anyone they didn't get it, but I still think that's silly. I just want to know one way or the other and the first rep I spoke with acted like he knew nothing. So, they DO know who got it. I wish they'd just be up front about the process.

I was in the hospital last week and evidently they left me messages on my home phone which the kids just played and did not pass on. Yesterday (Friday) at 6pm I check my email and have a message to call before 4PM eastern and have been freaking out ever since!! That is when I checked the messasges and then I was really upset. Still don't know, but assuming that I missed my chance....

I would love to, but no one is admitting it (of course!) and my sister in law was staying here, and may even have been her!!

Either way- the email only gave me 1.5 hours to call from the time email was sent, which would have been time usually for me to log on, but I had a friend here Friday and she was helping me catch up on all the housework that did not get done in my absence- my house also looked like a tornado came thru and I was only in five days!!! So, because I was power cleaning I did not check until supper was in the over- ughhhhh!!!!

You can bet I will be calling them first thing Monday!

Well one person who did not get notification still has hope- I had to turn down the scholarship today. (yes, I bawled about this!)

I hope it is someone on here that gets it!
