Anyone hear from the HRSA nursing scholarship????

Just checking to see if anyone has received a notice on the HRSA scholarship. I haven't yet......the wait is agonizing!!:madface:

It now says on the website that the recipients have been selected and they need to sign and fax the contract by tommorow.

Oh well, I will try again next year.

It says to call to check your status, but when I called the representitive said that they will notify everyone by September 30th

a bit of a mixed message - but I am going with what is on the website and assuming that if I was selected I would have recieved something by mail.

I got the same response. The guy on that I spoke to said not to go by the web site. Anyway I feel they same way. If I was awarded I would have recieved something since the deadline is tommorow. Good luck to everyone else!!

Ugh, they just called me and left a voice mail telling me I needed to call them back ASAP. and of course it is after business hours so I can not call them back till tommorow morning. This is sooooo frustrating!

Call! They're still there (or were just a few minutes ago when I called to double check on my contract I have to sign)

OH, yeah-- this is my first post but I've lurked off and on for several years while I was trying to decide/working on pre-reqs etc.

I'll go find an appropriate place to introduce myself now.

How is the deadline tommorow when we weren't supposed to find out till Sept. 30th?

It was that we would be notified by the 30th.

Some in the first round draw, or whatever they call their random picking methods probably either won't get the contract back in time, have changed plans, or for whatever reason are declining the scholarship.

So then they'd give it to someone else.

Basically if you haven't heard that doesn't necessarily mean anything yet.

Oh, ok. I will call in the morning and I already printed out the contract just in case. It seems likely that a lot of people will not get it in in time because if it weren't for this site, I would not have know to even look! I have been checking my email everyday. Did you get an email telling you that you had gotten it?

They phoned me today. They left messages on every phone number I put down and even followed a message my cell phone that has died and not yet been replaced to the temp number I'm using.
