Anyone hear from the HRSA nursing scholarship????

Just checking to see if anyone has received a notice on the HRSA scholarship. I haven't yet......the wait is agonizing!!:madface:

They could be as late as the end of September before they have an answer but let's hope it's sooner than that. I'm in the running too.

It is a little closer to the end of September notification date, just wondering if anyone has heard anything?

I am in the running to. I have not heard anything. The scholarship would come in handy but I know realistically that it is a hard scholarship to get. So we will see!!! Good luck to all who applied.

You can google HRSA nursing scholarship and get the information. It pays your tution and gives you a stipend every month in exchange for a minimum of 2 years of working in a facility that is critically short of nurses. Basically you have to be a low income student to even have a chance to get the scholarship. Your EFC must be a 0. There are more applicants than scholarships. Last year over 500 people met the 0 EFC but they only awarded 220 scholarships. Since there were more applicants than scholarships the awardees were picked randomly. You can be a ADN student but the deadline for this year has passed already. You can apply in the spring for the 2007-08 school year.

Ok, just checking in with everyone again ... I just checked online and my application status has changed from "recieved no review" to "application pending final approval"

I was just wondering what other peoples status says.

I don't want to get my hopes up ...

I also found a new link that was not there before -

right when I logged in there was a link for "curriculum" that wants me to provide them with my nursing school curriculum

I don't remember seeing that before - Is that on yours?
