Anyone who got into DCCC 2008 program, HELP!

Published

Hi!

I was just wondering of all the people who got into the program this year, what were your NET scores? Did anyone get in with an 85 composite score or lower?? If so, WHAT WAS YOUR READING AND MATH SCORES? I just took my NET yesterday for the third time and got an 85 composite. Math was a 96 and reading was a 73. I know it could all be different this year, but i was just wondering because i really want to get into the 2009 program!! Anyone and everyone, PLEASE let me know!!!!

Thanks:bow:

Heya,

I'm applying for Fall 2009 Day program. I got a 92 on the NET, and I'm sooo worried!

From looking through the threads here it looks like some students found out in November if they got in for Fall 2008.

I'm in Anatomy now, I just have Physiology, Abnormal Psych., and Math for Nurses left.

I just can't stand this wait, I just want to know already!

Don't worry! With a 92 you will get in. That is an excellent score. And yes, you will probably know by November. Good luck!

hey

are you applying to day 2009 at chester county or delaware? Is anatomy as hard as everyone says it is?

Thanks!!!

Yea, I'm study like crazy! I just don't want to wait till 2010!! And other 2 year programs are so expensive. Thomas Jefferson is like $810 per credit! Harcum is $7000 a semester, and I'm married and for some reason I don't get much aid!

I knew the min. scores but just because I get a composite of 65 doesn't mean I will get a seat. I heard they expect over 200 applicants and between they 96 seats for day and 32 seats for weekend. So I figure my score needs to be one of the 132 best, I just don't know what score that is going to be or even what it was last year. It seems a lot of students starting this fall that post on here had composite scores in the 90's, I really wish I knew I had the option of a second chance if I happen to get an 80%, at least I would know I could take it again hopefully bring it up to 90% and feel confident.

It also really sucks that they make you wait so long...I think they tell you by May??

Are you currently a student there?

I went to the information session back in the summer. We were told that they expected 500-600 people to sit for the NET for the 2009-2010 Fall semester. You're in Delaware County, I believe they have 128 seats. I'm in Chester County, they only have 64. The woman that spoke from the Nursing Dept at CCH was downright scary. I am not sure if she was trying to weed out the people that weren't truly serious about being the program, but I left in tears I was so overwhelmed. That could have had something to do with just starting going back to school and whatnot, but she was a total and complete b**ch. I got a composite score of 82, 70 on Reading and 93 in Math. I am praying it will be high enough to get me in, but I am definitely nervous. They say that they will notify you in January as to whether or not you got in, but I read posts on here from last year and it sounds like they got their letters in November. One can only hope we don't have to wait 3 months to find out if we got in or not. I don't think my nerves could take it. Good luck to you.

Out of curiosity, why did Eli say they had to erase your scores on the 3rd test? I'm turning my petition in next week and am nervous as to why they erased your score.

Delaware County

and Anatomy is tough! Between dissecting the cat and the heavy memorization, it's just crazy. I heard Physiology is even harder :crying2:

He said that since I didnt wait 6 weeks in between the second and third test date, he will erase my score and i have to retake it. :crying2:

~SarahSundae, that is such a great score!! good job, if i were you i wouldnt even worry about getting in or not. Your so in!!

~And I am going to take the test, for the fourth time, on wednesday. I am soo nervous, and hope to GOD i can pass it again. Prayers needed!:redbeathe

Good Luck on the test on Wednesday!! Don't stress, you'll do great! :up:Let us know how it turns out. My test is not until next week, but I'll pray for you..

Thanks Ley!

~Hey, anyone need any more practice for the NET?? I know I could use some more!

Go to this site, if you havent already.....

http://mo-media.com/net/bonuses

~They really need to have more practice for this dang ol' test, ya know?!:lol2:

If anyone goes to that site, takes the practice tests and maybe wants to go over the questions and ones we got wrong together, i'll be glad to! Sometimes it helps getting input on questions from other people..........

Well guys, I took the NET again today and passed! I am a little disappointed, though, because my composite score was lower than it was last time, which is the one they erased.

Last time it was an 85, this time I got an 83 composite. 73 in reading and 93 in math.

~When I went to turn it in to Eli, he assured me that it was a good score, and that its very hard for people to even pass the reading, so I should be thankful. That made me feel a little better. (Eli is a very nice guy, by the way!)

~So, now its just the anticipation of if Im in or not.......hopefully an 83 composite is good enough:confused:

Great job! I'm scheduled on 10/29. I hope I do well. How did you do on the practice tests? What really is the best way to improve your reading? I'd love to talk to you on the phone. What's the best way for me to reach you? Please email me your email addy and I'll email you back.
