Anyone going to PHCC (Pasco-Hernando Community College) for pre-req's or NS?

I got my acceptance letter for the RN program.

My Littmann Cardiology III has been sitting in my bedroom since January as a reminder. So excited!!!!!

If all these "rumors" are true... something's not right. I would love to know exactly how they grade you, because if it's true they have to be adding points for other things (other classes taken, other degrees, etc.), because people with higher scores and gpa should be getting in first.. it doesn't make sense :uhoh3:

I'm so not looking forward to this next year lol... but, it'll be worth it in the end!

Ok, so here's some food for thought....I wasn't going to post this as it is DEVASTATING news for me. I have a 4.0. I made an 86 on my TEAS. I have also completed ALL of my coreqs when I finish Micro in about 4 more weeks I was denied entrance to the RN program and made an ALTERNATE to the LPN program. Am I ticked? You bet I am. I'm not saying I'm better an anyone else but fair is fair. My scores are higher than multiple people on here and you bet I'm going to be addressing it.

Praying to GOD I can hold it together....There's some injustices going on and it's just not right.

Just got RN rejection letter in the mail today. :sniff: Also, just realized that the hospital where I work only does tuition reimbursement (and post-grad job contracts for RN programs, not LPN) Hmmmmm....what to do, what to do....

***...I just got my LETTER OF REJECTION from the nursing program with a 88.8 TEAS and a 3.77 GPA. I had finished all my coreqs with a 4.0, PTK, and President's List. Going to be pondering this call for a while...NOT EVEN AN ALTERNATE!!!

I have no idea why people with higher TEAS scores aren't getting in and ones with lower TEAS are. Doesn't make sense at all. Those that got rejected or alternate did you have very high reading and english scores? Those were weighted more than science and math and who knows what they really based it on.

...not to mention there is more than one person on here who I know on a personal level, far beyond the screen name who I know for a FACT, 1st HAND have higher GPA's and TEAS scores. The fact of the matter is, there is more than this "process" than meets the eye and I'm certainly not saying it because of my results...
