I am finishing up my pre-req's and would love to see if anyone is in the same boat as I am or even in nursing school. Any advice would be much appreciated!
you said it all. Shoes are up to each instructors discretion. I was at east campus and they were really laid back as long as the are overall white I wouldn't worry too much. If you can count seconds on your watch yo are good...though I got one with minimal detail on the face and band as well as a rubber/plastic band. You wash your hands a lot and don't want stuff sticking to it and living in little crevices. I have a green stethoscope with a frog on it...so as long as it works it is ok. Oh while your buying stuff pick up white underwear....sorry a little tmi....but some students in my class made the mistake of trying light colors or nude and everyone can tell. HMM what other advice do I have...get pens black (legal records you know) with lids not click tops. They will unclick in your pocket while your lifting a patient or something and write on your nice white scrubs.

Under Length of Completion it says that the program can be completed in one year. I'm thinking that means 3 semesters, if you include Summer. So if you start this Fall, you'll be done by next August!
OK this is heresay to the nth degree..... but a girl I was in AP II with, who is a friend of a friend apparently got an RN acceptance letter with a relatively high GPA but a 74 TEAS!!! How the frick???? I thought TEAS was weighted 5% more than GPA!?!?! Craziness!
not cool if true. there is a girl on here who is on alternate status with a 4.0 and an 83 teas.
I am speechless and dumbfounded. I heard all through API and II that people with low scores, irrelevant of GPA, somehow got in over those with higher scores (on the NET). I that's the case, I don't know if I should call admissions on Monday (if I don't get in) and see why my 88.8 and 3.77 wouldn't fly. I need to stay busy...

Yes that was me being obsessive and PMing nursing students lol. Like I said in the message, I want to get stuff starting soon while I still have money/a job to pay for it! I'm thinking of the New Balance 1442 Rock and Tone in white. They have some slight gray detailing, but is mostly white. So the second hand on the watch does not need to be sweeping? It can just tick? And can we get whatever color stethoscope we want?
