If you ever wondered how to instruct your patient regarding health issues, see, look, hear an expert, the great and powerful Dr. Oz (haha!)! And I thought at first he was a nurse! Anyone as good at explaining things simply and thoroughly has got to be, right? Boy, was I ever surprised!:yeah:

Yes, just so happens that I am. I found the show he did this week about cell phones and radiation quite disquieting.
Interesting you would mention this topic. I took a walk through my neighborhood and low and behold what I knew existed came to life before me, an unsettling monster emitting electromagnetic radio waves. In some European countries it is illegal to have one of these near schools, hospitals, residentials. OMG!http://www.emf-health.com/articles-celltower.htm
It looked an awful lot like this one! I only hope greed (profit margins of the cell phone industry) doesn't dominate our need for understanding on this topic and if necessary rid ourselves once and for all of these unhealthy devices.
Electromagnetic waves known to cause cancer, sterilization, and apoptosis of cells, oversensitivity (headaches and depression) from over exposure. OI VEH~!

I like him - really great method of explaining concepts to patients. Big fan of You: An Owhers Manual and You: on a diet. Both great reads. I've gifted both books to loved ones.

Big fan of his. I love the way he communicates with his audience in lay terms and demonstrations. I've been a nurse for a long time and still am awed by what I learn from watching his show. If anything we could all take a deep lesson from the way he communicates. Also he shows genuine concern and compassion. Furthermore he also provides information for "alternative" medicine rather then the textbook treatments in relation to prevention. I think his show should be a standard on televisions in the hospitals/clinics.
Plus he's HOT lol.

I LOVE Dr. OZ-I've watched him on all of Oprah's shows and I watch his show every night;and when I can't, I tape it. He's so caring, compassionate and REAL. I wonder what it would be like to work with him??

I like him!! I love that he also recommends alternative treatment, like vinegar and water to kill e.coli on counters and cutting boards and tea tree oil for MRSA! I have been using tea tree oil shampoo, laundry detergent, dish soap and body cream for years!!!

He had a lady on his show yesterday demonstrating "butt blaster" exercises.......I used them in my group fitness class this morning. :)

I, too, like Dr. Oz. My only complaint is that he doesn't confront Oprah on some of the whacky stuff that gets promoted on her show.
I'm actually more a fan of Dean Edell, though.

I like him too. Ironically, I'm watching him right now - he's talking about the face transplant... very interesting!
I, like previous posters, also like that he offers home remedies- I have been using vinegar and water since I have been on my own. It is a great cleaner and couldn't be cheaper!
I also like that he doesn't sugarcoat anything- when he puts them in the truth tube- or whatever it's called, it is nothing but the truth! ( like with the cowboy from AZ)
Am I the only one that does not find him attractive though?

I am a faithful viewer of The Dr. Oz show and learned a few things. He has a great manner towards people and is a promoter of preventative medicine.
