Anyone Applying to Delta College for Spring 2011

With only 4 weeks until we can start applying, I thought that it would be nice to start a new thread so that we can all keep in touch, pass along information, and post our stats.

I am handing in too. But my schedule is very busy. I will drop my documents on this coming monday, even though I have to miss my one class.

YEAH and the application thing. If there is 477+ application, it means some of those applications are for Psychiatric tech, some for LVN, and some for ADN. So I am saying that there will be around 200= application for ADN.

Harry123 - I sure hope your right! I like your number better than the number floating around in my head. There were a couple of you that applied to both LVN and ADN programs. Did you use the same application for both programs or did you have to submit seperate applications for each program?

quick question just to double check...So if I get a course description from my collegecatalog and it doesn't show the year on that specific page, I need to just copy the cover that states the college name and year? and then attatch it to the paper with the description?? Do I have it right?

That is correct. when i went to see a counselor earlier in the semester, she advised me that if the course description doesn't have the name of school and year on the page, then print out, or photo copy if you have the actual catalog, the cover page, which WILL have the name of the school and year, along with the page containing your course description, and submit those 2 pages.

The catalog years are a little confusing to me as well. So the catalog for 2008-2009, for example, covers Fall 2008 and Spring 2009, correct?

This is going to depend on your school. I had to search through the catalog to make sure. Some of my schools started in the summer of that year and ended in the spring of the next year, and another started in the fall and ended in the summer of the following year. I dont think the catalogs would change very much, but it might be a good idea to flip or click through the first few pages of the catalog to see what the dates are. It should be under the section that says academic calendar or something like that.

I am thinking that the 477+ applicants is only ADN because I don't think the applications were combined. What do you guys think?

Kristi- I think the office is closed on Fridays. You might wanna double check on their hours just in case.

I had applied to both adn and lvn and I did them at the same time they were just different sections. I went back and looked and they both that the same # on them so I think that as soon as someone goes in and applies to one of the programs (or 2) it gives each person a number once submitted so I think that it does include lvn and the psych program, but my guess is there's more in adn than the others, but I could be wrong. Definately better than we were thinking though :-)

I know!!! I'm soooo excited and I seriously don't know what I am going to do with myself for the next month & a half! Does anyone know how many they ask to actually submit documents?
