Is there anyone starting NS in the Fall of 2008 with me?
Jenlaana, it's good to hear that you will be starting soon. No doubt it is one tough program but believe in yourself and move ahead. By the way, did you apply for financial aid/scholorships? There are so many out there, don't leave any stone unturned. Good luck!
Thanks! :) I am trying to get as much aid as I can. The financial aid officer at the college said that we should be able to get my tuition covered w/ a pell grant and "lottery assistance" (something they do in SC, not sure if they have it elsewhere) and then I'll just have to cover my books. However, I also have to buy a car, pay for my physical/CPR/etc, pay gas to/from 40 min each way and a hefty $560 p/mo child care. I'm trying to get a state loan still, so we'll see how that goes. I know I could possibly get a job too but I wasnt sure when clinicals were going to be and I'm concerned about not seeing my babies as it is, so I'm waiting till orientation to decide on if I want to persue that and what my availability is. My hubby is supposed to be getting a promotion in a few weeks though which will help. :) No idea yet how much, but anything is better than nothing.
Hi! I am starting at River Valley Community Collge this Fall in Keene, NH. Nervous....taking A&P II this summer and right into clinicals Sept 4th. Am thniking of not working during this time to allow me to get used to the rythym of clinicals. I'm 48 years old and will graduate when I am 50! It's all new to me!
Good luck to everyone!:loveya:
