Hi any nurse here in Queensland? just want to ask for a little help maybe you can recommend any book or review materials i can use for the Competency Assessment Test (QLD Nursing Council) I just need it badly. Thanks!

You are all very helpful with your info updates, especially now that we're all in limbo with this cutoff thing... Pls keep them coming ... tnx so much fellow nurses and let's pray that we may all be enlightened with the paths we choose to take.

We don't have time for clinical placements? So then what's the point in taking the exam? Oh okay, we can do the one day clinical challenge. Will you be doing that instead?

After passing the challenge test part A, the only option is to take the challenge test part B. There will no endorsement to the education modules or clinical placement. Guys, i have heard from the previuos test takers that the part A exam is so hard because its full of medication calculation and short-answer questions. Huhuhu how could we pass this exam if it became harder.

how long does qnc respond after sending them the required ielts score? a month had passed and im still waiting for any notification on how to proceed with the challenge test? do they send it through post or email? thanks

^ They sent mine the same day they received the IELTS score. You'll have to wait for it in the mail though because it includes your CAS application form that you will send to CQU.

Meanwhile I really need CAS materials. PM me please if you have.

Hi i've been calling up QNC & CAS these past days. Advice of CAS is to take challenge test asap and pass at least two parts to make it possible to complete the remaining modules before their cutoff date.

Per the CAS website:

APPLICATIONS TO UNDERTAKE THE EDUCATION MODULES ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED. THOSE APPLICANTS WHO OBTAINED QNC APPROVAL PRIOR TO 31 DECEMBER 2009 ONLY HAVE THE OPTION TO ENROL INTO THE PART A CHALLENGE TEST UNTIL 17 MARCH 2010. THE LAST PART A CHALLENGE TEST WILL BE HELD IN APRIL 2010.
