Hi all..

Just asking...are there any other PN/LPN students here? Either currently attending or soon to attend...or even those who "want" to attend??....

Thanks!!!!!!!!!! (((((((((((((( HUGS )))))))))))

Specializes in Registry, all over the place.

Hi Wasted,

LVN student here in San Diego in my 4th month now. So far school has been a breeze. Keeping my fingers crossed it will stay that way. Couple difficult times in Pharmacology, not in math, but memorization!!! Had clinicals now the last 7 weeks or so, absolutely love clinicals.

When I graduate next year, I hope to go on to RN and work in preparation for CRNA school!

Hi Hoping2/19/7....

Wow I can truly feel such positive energy ...thru your words!! Sounds like you are REALLY enjoying school!! I can't seem to say this enough,...But I am SO looking forward to attending in October!! Working as a CNA, my eyes and ears are now wide open to every facet of anything Nursing reated... I mean I'm taking it ALL in and jumping at every chance I get to learn something new....The people I work with, ( RN's, LPN's etc) know my desire and up-coming ( PN school) plans and are more than wiling to educate and encourage me!!....Please do come back and post often..ok? and much continued success in school...I'm sure that you will sail thru the rest of the program with ease!!

Anna

Just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday weekend!!

Hi,

I started the LVN year long accellerated program in Jan. Almost to the 1/2 way point yoohoo! :rollWe have a 100 question test every week. Hardest part is having enough time to study for clinical's and study the lecture material. 8-10 chap./wk. Pharmacology was the hardest so far, but when you start using it in clinical it helps a lot. Supporting each other in class is a huge help. We have a great support system in our class! Plus support from the family at home! We found our husbands are starting to whine a little at month 5. And at month 4 there was a lot of tempers flaring and back stabbing in class. But we're ok now. What next?

Hi baylay,...welcome!!

Wow sounds like you will have an abundant of memories to take with you when your program is over! I too will be starting a 12 month ( intensive /accellerated) PN program in October....I can't wait, LOL.. I only hope that my Family will be as supportive as they say they will be, LOL..certainly with all the studying that lays ahead....

I keep hearing that Pharm is tough....but I'm feeling up to the challenge (me thinks, LOL)...Anyway thanks for sharing some of your Nursing school adventures!!........More please...we love it!!

I just graduated from a PN program and got my license!!! I am now back in school for the RN transition....so one more year!

Specializes in OB/GYN.

I just finished my first semester in a LVN program. The new semester will start next week, and includes Med/Surg, Pharmacology and clinicals. Thus far, I have completed nursing fundementals, beginning maternity, nutrition, A&P, in addition to a biology pre req required by the school.

I am in Northern California and in the 4th month of a 14 month long program. Only 10 months to go! (although, I have been at the school since October with the prereq class).

I am almost sorry that I don't have plans to get out of town this weekend before the new semester starts and all of the preparations for tests and such will keep me home for a few more months!

Great thread. I am enjoying reading about everyone's experiences.

Congratulations to EVERYONE on here!!

Join me in the mantra that is getting me through my lastfew weeks......hmmmmmmmbalabalabal....19 more days........ can't wait for graduation, to all of you that have had the experience of a close knit group...ENJOY IT!!!! It will make your experience so much easier. Our class was known for its tension between students, and it sucked. But only 19 more days and I can finally start to add to the family checkbook (my husbands biggest joy in the completion of this program....whoops, guess I forgot to tell him about having to spend almost 300 bucks and a month of LPN unemployment after graduation to get my license :biggringi ) going on for the RN in January

lisalpn06!!! ....CONGRATS!!...and BEST wishes with your RN program!!

EKA69,....Wow only 19 more days!!..I can't wait next year...when I can finally say those words!!

scallywags,....great going!! Those next 10 month will just fly by...just watch and see.....

To everyone else....have a great weekend

Congratulations to everyone finishing up AND to everyone that's starting out. I have exactly 4 months to go...they just gacve us our graduation date...September 28, 2006 :mortarboard: . I can't wait. Eka69...I can totally relate...my class is so divided...there's this CRAZY competition and sometimes people get really nasty. It's crazy, but fortunately that will all be over soon. I'm so happy I'll be able to make more money when this is all over. I've worked part-time for the duration of this program and hubby has been EXTREMELY supportive but I know he'll be very happy to have some more help :lol2: . And WastedEnoughTime...it's going to go by SOOO quickly for you and I KNOW you will be fine :).

Thanks..EvinsAngel...:blushkiss ......Wow Sept 28 ( :nurse: )....I'm going to be counting the days right along with ya girlie!!....Ok..Break time over..Better get back to work....

Hello everyone, I am in Winter Haven, FL in a PN program. We graduate on June 14th. So 11 more days to go. It has been a very long, hard year. I would love to help or answer any questions that you may have, so shoot away if you have any. I will be taking NC boards as soon as possible after I graduate. So keep your fingers crossed for me. Good luck to you all!

Michelle
