I'm in an 18 month Two Phase LPN program and loving it! I finish first phase on May 26th :roll !!!! We start back in August and begin giving meds and doing more clinical rotations through Med/surg, Peds, Geriatrics, OB/GYN, and Psych. We did have clinicals for 3 hours once a week this phase but next phase we do 10 hr rotations twice a week we'll also be at a different bigger hospital. I've gotten to do a lot in clinicals I've inserted and d/c foley caths, done head to toe assessments, d/c IVs, enemas, but my favorite was the venipuncture I got to do :)

I will be done with the LPN program on June 22nd!!!! I was originally in the RN program at the same school but flunked my final in the 3rd semester of a 4 semester AD program. Didn't want to go back to that hell, just wanted to be a nurse after all of these years and a Bachelor's in Poli Sci. I am so glad I transferred to the LPN. Solid clinicals without the FEAR AND LOATHING AND INTIMIDATION that was so awful in RN. LPN courses have given me a solid foundation on which to build a career. Good Luck!

I just got capped tonight in my LPN program. I'm very happy to be in the LPN program. A lot of people asked me why that I didn't go directly into the RN program. I just felt that this was right for me. After being out of school for several years, I felt that I needed the solid foundation that the LPN program would give me. God williing, this time next year, I'll be posting my graduation news here.

Hi!
I am in a LVN program right now...and ready to start clinicals in 2 weeks! Up to this point, I have had many classes, including A&P, Nutrition, Maternity, Nursing Fundementals and have had "lab" classes at the school. I have really enjoyed everything thus far, but I cannot wait to be able to actually learn at the hospital. I will graduate in 11 months :)
How about you?

Hello, I'm one of the "want to attend" guys. I'm taking my prereq's, and then will look forward to waiting. LOL.
