Any Miami Dade College students going for the acceler. or Generic option fall 2009?

I am currently at Miami Dade College fulfilling prerequisites in order to apply for the Nursing program that starts fall 2009. I'd like to be in touch with other career changers who after getting a bachelor's in a non-nursing field decided to pursue the program at Miami Dade College.

Why are you looking at PBCC? You should be calling MDC every hour and making sure that they straighten your situation out.

Has anyone else received any type of letter. I spoke to an advisor and she said all letters would be out by wednesday the 30....

It is my ultimate last resort if they are unwilling to help me. No one will respond to my emails or phone messages so I will be there first thing in the morning. I hope by then they will have updated my degree audit. Frustrating experience.

My friend got rejected from the Generic with a 3.6. I still haven't received a thing.

That is terrible. GPA was probably a little too low or there might have been a mistake. The advisors have the list so you can just come down and ask them. Well I will be in the advisors office all day tomorrow trying to figure out my fate.

I wish MDC would "go green" for our sakes(I don't care about the trees lol) because this snail mail thing takes SO long!!!! I'd rather get a .PDF with all the info in my email anyways. Maybe I am just too hyper. I need to relax.

Gods in control so either way I know I will be fine. They wont tell you if you call. They will just tell you the GPA cut off. You would have to come in and be in their face for them to actually do their job.

Dont give up. Go there every day if you can. Email everyone. And leave messages as well. Have you tried contacting the new Dean of Nursing?

Yea that's a good idea. I looked at her work experience. She looks like a real BOSS lady! I hope she cleans up MDC SoN's messiness.
