Any Miami Dade College students going for the acceler. or Generic option fall 2009?

I am currently at Miami Dade College fulfilling prerequisites in order to apply for the Nursing program that starts fall 2009. I'd like to be in touch with other career changers who after getting a bachelor's in a non-nursing field decided to pursue the program at Miami Dade College.

I strongly believe that people whom have applied to full time programs and have reached above the benchmarked GPA were invited. I highly doubt they invited any part-time applicants because if you read all the criterias for every possible scholarship, the only possible one available to part-timers would be the need based scholarship. But I find the 3000 applicants challenging and I am really excited to see whether I make the cut:lol2:!

That would be nice of them to put us out of our misery. Do they send rejection letters or acceptance letters first?

The last two times it has been acceptence letters then a week or two later the rejection letters...

Yikes. I hope we all get our acceptance letters soon. I saw someone on a different post, I think it was for the transitional program, say they got their acceptance letter.

Earlier whilst reading the accepted person's post, someone knocked at the door and I immediately ran to it, thinking the mail lady must've bought in the letter to my door:uhoh3: I'm losing it.

Has anyone started school shopping? LOL I have already bought to many little books for NS... can't wait. :redbeathe

I have to say that DD at the medical campus is the BEST advisor at all of MDC! I sent her an email early last week when I was freaking out about not getting invited to the scholarship meeting. She wrote back today and was so sweet. She said decisions were not yet complete and that letters would be going out in the coming weeks. She also told me to calm down and that she had my application on file :) (I thought maybe something was wrong or somehow they didnt get it...too many scenarios running through my head).
