Any Miami Dade College students going for the acceler. or Generic option fall 2009?

Published

I am currently at Miami Dade College fulfilling prerequisites in order to apply for the Nursing program that starts fall 2009. I'd like to be in touch with other career changers who after getting a bachelor's in a non-nursing field decided to pursue the program at Miami Dade College.

Thanks for your interest!

Okayyy... time to stalk mail man. I was told first or second week of June, so I will attempt not to go CrAzY.

Lol I attacked the mail already and nothing. :p

Does anybody have a list of good/bad teachers or required books or something? I want to get ahead so I won't be going crazy the first few weeks before school... I already bought my nursing shoes. It was on sale so I couldn't resist. ;)

Where did you find the shoes? Im all about sales!

Sears! They were ten dollars off. Originally $100. They were so comfortable. I want to splurge on my feet because I have foot/knee problems. So worth it for me. I went to the one in International mall but they only had those for Nursing. I would also maybe check out Macy's, JcPenny, FootLocker, etc. Dolphin Mall has so many good shoe stores maybe you'll find a deal! :) BTW I got Timberland Professional. To me they were pretty cute too. :)

I have foot issues too! I have to start looking for some good shoes. I am speaking this large letter into existence because I hope to see it in the mail!

Now I am starting to think about how much the program will be and how much I will need per semester. Does any remember what the cost is per credit hour?

"As of August 2009, the cost of tuition is $86.19 per college credit for in-state students and $312.58 per college credit for out-of-state students. It is estimated that the 72 required credits and fees for graduation will cost in-state students $7,200.00 Students with out-of-state status will pay $22,200.00. In addition, students will need materials such as uniforms, books, shoes, physical exam/immunizations, watch, stethoscope, NCLEX-RN exam fee that are estimated as $2,220.00 Tuition is due at the beginning of each term and can be determined by multiplying the number of credits by the cost per credit hour."
