Does anyone know of any hospital that are currently hiring new grads without any experience? I graduated May '09, and it's so hard finding a job without experience. Thanks.
Yeah and they seemed pretty good about teaching their new grads..i have my interview in a couple of weeks and I have never been to Tyler, TX so I'm hoping it's a decent place to live..have you heard anything?
I havent applied yet..did you end up sending them your transcripts by mail or email..Also what kind of reference letter did you send them? They provide a link with a reference example letter that you can use,but when I click on it I cant open it,can we use our own version of reference letter, also do you have to have a good GPA to get selected,thanks..
If you can stand the cold Western NY hospitals (Buffalo/Niagara Falls) are hiring new grads.
Try Kaleida Health System, Catholic Health System, N.F. Memorial Medical Center and Erie County Medical Center. Most nursing homes will take new grads in this area of the country too. You may not get a day shift job but you should be able to find something.
I emailed them my references..and i'm bringing a hard copy of my transcripts to my interview..have you applied yet?
No, I applied to Iowa methodist hospital in Des Moines for a cardiac floor, and they are in the middle of checking my references (I had a phone interview with them), also I got a call back from Aurora hospital in Wisconsin and I have a phone interview with them on Tuesday for a med-surg,full time day positon. As far as Texas I applied only Christus Hospital and they turned me down even before I was able to talk to the manager...However the seats for a new grad residency program at Corpus Christy Medical center,Texas are still open if someone wants to try out!
Hey, I was just wondering if you received the last message I sent you about the RN Residency? If you didn't, I was just curious to know how you liked the hospital, city, people. I have never been to Tyler and I'm from the Midwest so I'd like another Midwest perspective. I have an interview there next week. Any advice/info you could give me would be much appreciated. Hope to hear back from you soon!

I'm from midwest as well and I'm thinking to apply to Trinity. Did you apply to their new grad program?
