Hello Everyone,
I am finishing my last class in Miami-Dade community college to graduate with an A.A in Nursing. I am graduating with 67 credits which is crazy. They gave me a bunch of mixed information on what i needed to take in order to be an R.N. so I am getting an A.A in Nursing but obviously cant do anything with it, but im going to be starting Broward Community College on August 19. I just received my Pre-admissions letter. The process was great. No waiting list, they just took 3 months to send out the pre-admissions letter. I will be going to Orientation on May 2nd.
Good luck to all!
I go to HCC in Tampa and am doing the pre-regs. I have so far only taken Freshman English & Microbiology with the lab. I will be taking Nutrition this summer as well as pre-algebra. I have to take 4 math classes to get the credit for the one I need, ugh... SO I have to take math, Sociology and A&P 1 & 2 + labs. It is a long process, but it's always worth it in the long run. The problem at my school is I can't take A&P until I complete the math....

I understand, I have to take 2 math classes before I can take the one I need for credit. I am taking English 1 & Math this summer. You are soo right, it is a long process getting there but at least we have started. My first class is tonight. I am attending SCC in Orlando.

I was thinking us FL PreNursing Students could use a little support. I know there's a "prenursing" forum, but it's not specific to us :-)
Hi. I'm in Central Florida and won't be able to officially start Nursing School until the Fall of 2009 on account of the prerequisites. I plan on going to Seminole Community College and am hoping that I'll get into the ADN-BSN Concurrent Program there. I still need to take Microbiology, Human Anatomy 1 & 2, Chemistry, Sociology and Human Nutrition. I'm in the middle of finishing my A.A. in General Studies at Valencia.
What about you? What school are you trying for and for when? What kind of program? What do you still need to get done?
