  1. Honeybee, Im so happy for you! I know how it feels to have to start over with school. What matters the most is that you keep your head up high and dont give up! I had many obstacles to cross before getting accepted, but i have so many people in my life to encourage me and help me when i doubt myself. Keep your eye on the prices and you'll see in the long run it will be all worth it! Good Luck!
  2. Hi Honeybee, I recommend that you speak to the school before actually selecting that class. Ask if maybe they changed the code. I would pick up the class on your schedule just in case it is a code change, so that you have a seat saved. Good Luck!
  3. Thanks for all the great information..you answered a lot of questions that were on my mind. Ill let you know if i have any other questions. You were very helpful!
  4. Hello everyone, i was just wondering if anyone else is starting this August at the south campus? have you finished all the documents and immunizations?
  5. Thanks for clearing that up.. Well im glad you made your decision..im sure it was tough, but im sure in the long run your going to see that you made a good decision.. I really want to apply to the Memorial one, because i really want to work in the Joe Dimagio Hospital..I want to work in the neonatal or pediatrics icu..Either way my thing has always been with kids.
  6. Hey how are you? i guess i was confused, i thought that the broward health scholarships included all the memorials and the Joe Dimaggio? Those were the hospitals i wanted to apply for. Anyways, i know its a tough decision but, i have a friend who went to MDC and entered their Baptist scholarship, and she told me it was awesome. She loved working for them, she didnt get to do anything that she wanted to special in but she told me she learned a lot. She says it was totally worth it. After her two years she moved over to Memorial West (i think) She told me she loves it there even more because she is working in what she wanted. (labor and mommy) So question, how long would you be signing on with HCA? Do you have a chance on moving up the specialty ladder faster since its a specialty hospital? let me know what you decide..Good luck! Hope the little info i got helps.
  7. Thanks guys...Im gonna go to orientation tomorrow, do you know by when im supposed to make the decision of which campus I choose? when i took the drive to take the application it felt like forever..its about 45 min from my house, but the good thing is that it was all highway. But now that you mention the amount of students they admit in each campus, i think im leaning towards south now..i really rather have smaller classrooms. Thanks Again for all your help!
  8. RNinthemaking I'm posting this again cuz im not sure if it came out before. I know the process is frustrating, but its worth it. When i applied at BCC, they sent me a letter telling me that i couldnt be accepted at this time becuase i was missing the hcp class. I knew i took it, but when i called back they told me i had to get them a paper transcript, which i did, but i also had to apply again. I was so worried becuase the closing date for application was coming up. But at the end, i got the papers in and i just got the pre-admissions letter.(what a relief) I was so upset for a while, but it worked out. We just cant give up on our dreams.. JUST DONT GIVE UP! you'll get in. Note: I dont know, but you should call bcc and ask them if they know any other place where they offer the hcp class. When i had the issue they gave me a list of the certifications that are required by them and i saw that class in there. Im going to look thru my papers at home to see wht it said. I didnt pay much attention to it because i already had the class. GOOD LUCK!
  9. IampattyRN Thank you for the respond! Im going to look into the south campus, but i think im going to take the drive and end up at the North.
  10. Iampattyrn Thank you so much for the respond..I live pretty far as well, but i think im going to take the drive and end up going to the North Campus. I can't wait to start already!
  11. RNintheMakin Hey i just transferred to bcc and they accepted my hsc001 class from miami-dade.
  12. Hello everyone, I have a question, not sure if i should post it here, but since it has to do with BCC. I was wondering if anyone can give me some info on their experience in regards to the campus they attend in BCC. I recently got my Pre-Admissions letter and i am undecisive on what campus to attend. I heard that the North Campus is the best campus, But I live in Miami Lakes and the North Campus is Pretty far from me. The closest campus is the central campus. Please let me know how you like the campus you attend and how you feel about your teachers and anything else you would like to share. Thanks!
