I have been trying to find other COD nursing student hopefuls or current students anyone out there?
This is true. I applied in October, I think, and I remember thinking at the time that 5 months seemed like such a long time away. I've been taking Gen eds at cod for the last 2 years, and when I started, 2011 seemed like such a long ways away, but now the time is finally here. I'm excited!
Hello everyone. Just found this site which is very informative.... I see there are plenty of other people waiting for the letters.. I'm not sure about myself getting in the program since I am taking A&P 2 this simester (which doesn't count for this application) and have not taken microbiology or CNA:(
AK11 - how many classes have you completed thus far? We seem to think there are 10 possible classes that can count towards application points (and the CNA course is not one of them), so if you only need to complete microbiology and A&P II, you'll still receive the maximum number of points allowed (towards courses completed, that is).
AK....
Welcome to the wait is killing me thread!!! I am so happy to be in the company of others.
I'm sure I will be writing tomorrow but just in case I dont! Good luck everyone, I sincerely do wish the best to all on here and out there. Everyone please keep positive! And you must post when you get your letter.
I have completed all other courses except the ones I mentioned and I have a BA so I guess I should be hopeful like everyone here but I imagine there are so many applications to consider.
In the advising session, Deb mentioned that last year they had accepted someone with 2.75 GPA (if i recall correctly) so whoever doesn't have a very high GPA shouldn't be discouraged. Plus, not everyone that completed the application knows what they are doing and haven't gone through all the steps presented in the program packet...

At least we are only 1 day away from the deadline. When I applied last year it was torture to think about a whole year having to pass!
