i noticed the thread in the prenursing forum about class of '08 and i did post there but thought maybe i would start a thread specifically for '09 and see who is out there!! (plus it would suck when everyone graduated and left me alone in the post haha) i'm using the same format as that post because it was so good. post your info. here and introduce (or re-introduce) yourself!! it would be great to be able to support one another right to the end!!

what area of interest at this time: i am just really open to anything at this point .. so much to learn and i feel that this is just opening up to me and i will figure out where my interest lies.
biggest fear: not sure of that either. i am not sure if i will gag over anything or not. maybe my biggest fear would be looking stupid, but heaven knows i've done enough of that!
what you'd like us to know about you: i'm a mom of 4 (2 boys, 2 girls) and have worked (and still do) as a christian camp director for the past 5 years. i'm really enjoying university again. i graduated back in '85 with a b.ed. the next year i took a stats course and didn't go back until 2005 fall .. so on paper it took me 26 years to complete my pre-reqs haha .. in reality i (mostly) did them all since last fall!
my really neat thing this year is that my oldest daughter is going to be going to university at the same time as me but taking music! that is a very unique opportunity!!

biggest fear: my biggest fear now is not passing boards at the end! i would hate to come so far, and have it be all over with so fast!
what you'd like us to know about you: i graduated from a university last year with a bachelor's degree in a field completely unrelated to nursing. i applied to nursing school before i finished my bachelor's and got accepted. i just finished my first year! (1 down, 2 to go!) i just got married in may, so i'm adjusting to married life while looking forward to returning to classes- 2 weeks from today! i can't wait for may of 09 to get here!!

biggest fear: i start the program in a few weeks and i'm scared of everything. i'm afraid of forgetting something. i guess i'm afraid of what might be up ahead.

biggest fear: that i'll get into the program and not be able to do what is expected and that i won't be able to manage my time with my family/work/school.
what you'd like us to know about you: i am a proud mom of an almost 2 year old daughter - she is my world!! my husband and i will be married 5 years this october. i work full-time for a pharma company. i just finished my pre-req's this past spring and i am waiting word that i will start the program in spring of '08 (fingers crossed) which i won't get until november. so, in the meantime, i am taking i guess a "filler" class this semester. this has been a long tough road for me, but i'm almost there!
Thanks to everyone for their support. For the upcoming week I'm preparing a positive sanctuary in my home for my studying time. I'm really excited on how its coming into effect. I'm trying to keep the positive CHI in my space. Good luck to all.

what you'd like us to know about you: i've been planning on travel nursing for years, but we just bought a big ol' house after living (consecutively) on a sail boat, an rv and in an apartment for the last several years so we'll see how that goes. i have a 22 year old daughter serving in iraq, a 15 year old son at home and a wonderful husband

I'm starting my 2nd year tomorrow. I feel like I've already almost started because I helped with the new student orientation this past week. My brain is not ready for studying yet.
