I have been haunting these discussion boards since I decided i wanted to become a nurse. I started my pre-nursing pathway a couple years ago and am so excited to say that I was finally able to apply to the nursing school of my dreams! The deadline for fall '17 semester was the 1st of February. I was told by the nursing director that she would have the 30 candidates selected a week after the deadline.
Since I became eligible to apply I had been over the moon extatic! But now that I'm having to wait for selections I find my self far more anxious and bothered by things that never bug me. I'm usually as chill as a cucumber.
Have others felt the same way or am I overthinking the outcomes? Anyways please chime in.
Congrats to everyone who made it in! I am in Pittsburgh, PA and am waiting for the fateful first week of April. The original deadline was March 1, but they extended the deadline to April 10. People who applied by the first cut off date get priority consideration. Now the tense wait! I am taking my last pre-requisite this semester (Microbiology), and I am just dying to know. Registration for fall 2017 takes place April 3. My TEAS score was not that high but my gpa is 3.65 and I heard a girl with a 2.8 got into the program last semester. Been rejected twice in the past, I hope this one is the winner!
The deadline for my school's applications has finally passed, and the semester is over in 2 weeks. Now just the long wait until sometime in May! It's getting closer though!
I felt that way at first. What if I don't get in? Then what? But then I started thinking, 'I have to get in, ' which eventually turned into, 'I WILL get in.' I guess I was just hoping for the best and I later found out that I was accepted into my local cc's program.
*To anyone reading this: You'll be fine. Just relax.
Well....I got my acceptance e-mail yesterday!!! I start my nursing program in the fall!
I'm thrilled, nervous, and relieved that the wait (at least for that part) is over!
I'm so grateful for allnurses and you guys, it has made the process a lot easier!
Onto nursing school!

Congrats! Thats is a great accomplishment. Allnurses is great for people going through the wait since no one else really understands. I should find out Friday if I get in or not. Hope it comes fast!
