Anxiously waiting for the acceptance bus

Published

Hello everyone!

I have been haunting these discussion boards since I decided i wanted to become a nurse. I started my pre-nursing pathway a couple years ago and am so excited to say that I was finally able to apply to the nursing school of my dreams! The deadline for fall '17 semester was the 1st of February. I was told by the nursing director that she would have the 30 candidates selected a week after the deadline.

Since I became eligible to apply I had been over the moon extatic! But now that I'm having to wait for selections I find my self far more anxious and bothered by things that never bug me. I'm usually as chill as a cucumber.

Have others felt the same way or am I overthinking the outcomes? Anyways please chime in.

Fingers crossed for you kepps. Which state are you in?

Thank you! I am in Florida.

Today is the last day to hand in nursing applications at my school, so it should be about a 3 week wait for the committee to make their choices.

I got into my program guys!! Thanks again for all of the support!!

Congratulations kepps!!!

Great news! Let's prepare for this next phase

Today I found out I was accepted!!!

I got my acceptance today but I still have to get through this crazy semester of A&P II, Gen Chem, and statistics....

I am anxiously waiting myself! We had a March 1st deadline, and was told that we would know something by mid April. I am going nuts waiting. My school goes by points, they add up everyones points, find the highest, then select the top 30 from there. I think I have a good chance of being accepted, but the not knowing and being able to plan for next semester is killing me!

Pretty much exactly for my school, March 1st was the deadline, although they didn't give us a date when they would announce but everyone assumes around early April. They go by GPA, TEAS Score and a points system all crammed into one and top 60 make it.

Congrats to everyone who got into their programs!

This is the last week my program has for people to turn in their applications, so....I'm still waiting. We should hear sometime in April í ½í¸“.

My school does a point system too based on GPA, HESI, residency, etc. We only have 45 spots though! 12 alternates. Ugh!

I'm freaking out.

if you weren't nervous it would be more strange than the fact that you are nervous. Everything will work out exactly like it should!

Still here waiting with the rest of you. Congrats to the ones that have already been accepted. Come on April.
