I have been haunting these discussion boards since I decided i wanted to become a nurse. I started my pre-nursing pathway a couple years ago and am so excited to say that I was finally able to apply to the nursing school of my dreams! The deadline for fall '17 semester was the 1st of February. I was told by the nursing director that she would have the 30 candidates selected a week after the deadline.
Since I became eligible to apply I had been over the moon extatic! But now that I'm having to wait for selections I find my self far more anxious and bothered by things that never bug me. I'm usually as chill as a cucumber.
Have others felt the same way or am I overthinking the outcomes? Anyways please chime in.
The program I applied to got over 1500 applications this year.... for only 80 spots!! They usually get around 809, but it doubled this year. I got an interview, they interview 150 . Now we have to wait 6-7 weeks, and the deadline was Jan 2nd... so we r talking almost 3.5 months from start to finish
I got in!! Got the email today! One of the most competitive BSN programs in my state and I got in!!
Congrats Hotchicken!! Woot-woot!! No more waiting! Now that it's over I kind of miss the anticipation í ½í¸. But no worries we wait for orientation...
For everyone else, based on my experience, do not doubt yourself. The moment you submitted your application you put up the best scores you had at the time, the rest is up to fate. I was luckily enough to only have to suffer for a week, but let me tell you, the entire semester before I submitted my app was complete hell. I worried about every little point. So as hard as it seems, just try to relax the best you can. Please update as you all get accepted!
Congrats to those of you who have heard back already. I'm an anxious mess right now. I applied to 2 programs. The first app was due Dec 1 and I should find out by the last day of February. Naturally, I'm refreshing my email every 2 minutes as we speak. The other app was due Feb 15 and I should know by March 8. The wait is killing me!!

I am right there with you but I wont find out until mid-April. UGH! I am trying to find things to do so i don't stress about it to much haha. At least you will know about yours pretty soon! Good luck!

I finally get to apply on Monday (02/20) and they won't let us know until sometime in April as the deadline is March 31st.
I feel you on the nerves....I made great grades, did pretty well on the HESI, but now I'm super, super nervous!
